Stevie is clueless. I was born in WI but that's about it.
He really loves Frank Gore and Kapernick of the Niners...and I mean "LOVES" them. I think his wife needs to be told as I bet she's been worried for years about his odd attraction to American athletes.
Seriously though, Eoin has a good point about the distances aliens would have to cover in order to reach our planet. Even if they came from the closest solar system to our own, they'd still have to travel 4.37 light years.
They would have to have some unfathomable technology in order to travel that far,
Mankind has been flying for just over a hundred years. We entered space only fifty years ago. We're instill infants in the cosmos; give us time!
"Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow." -- Kay, Men in Black
I'm late to this party but wanted to clarify that I don't think Gen. 6:11-14 is interpreted by most as stating that the only life in universe is on this planet. The Bible doesn't actually address the subject anywhere. I'm not sure about the assumption that the discovery of life on other planets is somehow a threat to Christianity or religion in general.
And since the 49ers were brought into this, this Chiefs fan would like to thank the ' niners for giving up on Alex Smith so fast!
Is that town in Wisconsin near the Dells? If so, I get it. Those waterparks look like a blast.

I didn't say it was impossible. I do agree with you though about us being infants and I do think it's just a matter of time.
"The people of your planet once believed their world was flat: Columbus proved it was round. They said the sound barrier could never be broken: It was broken. They said warp speed could never be achieved."
I don't think Gen. 6:11-14 is interpreted by most as stating that the only life in universe is on this planet.
It's more specifically Genesis 6:13. "The end of ALL FLESH is come before me;" Some people take that to mean "all life" in the universe.
Then again: Deuteronomy 14:21 "Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: Thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an ALIEN"
I'm not sure I believe in anything out there but I don't think anyone can say nothing does. The size of the universe means there will probably be 'something' out there...right?
Actually the 'Black Knight satellite' is kind of weird and gets you thinking.
Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
Thanks for pointing out the Deut. passage because I've got several food items with expiring dates that I would like to sell to aliens. I had forgot about that verse.
Sadly, Christians have led the way in misinterpreting the Bible.
I sort of think of the line in Contact - "(If there's nothing out there) It's an awful waste of space."
Our ability to wield technology for mankind's betterment and advancement is not as great as our ability for destruction.
Countless great and powerful civilisations have been destroyed. Where would we be if the Library of Alexandria wasn't destroyed? Would we have been to the moon hundreds of years ago, or would our World Wars have been so great, that we would have wiped out more, if not all, of the worlds population? Our access to knowledge and information may have increased, but entrusting it to the right people, that's always a problem.
Yes, we may be in the infancy of flight, but we are also at the critical extreme of safe commercial flying. You need only look at the recent disasters with the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 to understand that with the increased complexity of flight systems, the risk of systems failures also increases ...
The last 'huge' revelation in terms of physics, took one man to figure out, e=mc2
The current CERN project has over 500 scientists and billions invested, to push that envelope even further. We are at the law of diminishing returns. The human mind is only so intelligent . . .
Take the world's smartest and most stupid person and ask them both a question, is there a God or do aliens exist? Outside of their reasoning, binary logic says each one has a 50% chance of being right . . . and until proved otherwise, they both have the same probability of being right.
