Some SS writers like Phil, Janet, Pia to name a few have/had websites to showcase their work. How?! lol.
Are you paying for it or did you create it for free? Do you have a preference in regards to starting from scratch or using a template? Do you like it or do you find it to be another chore? Do you think it's worth it?
All opinions are welcomed. lol.
Reason? I'm interested in creating a website. However, I would like to know the good and bad of what comes with it. lol.

Hey Gabe -
Well, speaking for myself and Phil... we do pay for it through Hostgator, but it's only $7.99 a month, so absolutely no big.
I personally like to use Sea Monkey Composer for the editing. Completely What You See is What You Get, and I find it extremely easy to use. Helps to know Photoshop...

I have a whole dedicated server. I use wordpress on a couple of domains, including my own... but I obviously host the sites myself. I wouldn't bother with the free hosts... but if all you want is a web page then they will be fine for a while. The trouble with those is that they cram sites onto their servers.
Hostgator are also wank... a friend of mine has just moved all of his servers, and he has quite a few, away from Hostgator. They were good for a few years, but customer service is bad there now. Money must have gone to their heads.
Yeah, anyway, probably best to start with a free one as you are obviously clueless. Even a small website could seem quite daunting to the uninitiated.
I took my website down because I didn't have time to properly update it. I also find out that people in the industry read some of my scripts there. That sounds cool, but for those of you who know some of the stuff I've written, you know how some of those scripts are just not for everyone. It's cool when people read a script of yours and love it and then go to your website and find other stuff they didn't expect and thing you must be crazy and leave. So, be careful what you put on your website.
Btw, I think there's another free one out there called WIX or something like that.
