He was one of those guys you've been watching for years who was always good at what he did and instantly recognisable, but you never knew his name. At least that's how it was for me.

Credits include The Game, Carlito's Way, Scent of a Woman, The Talented Mr. Ripley. His latest role was as Carrie's father in Homeland.

Sadly missed. R.I.P.

Oh that's sad, given he wasn't that old.  He always struck me as a solid performer and played interesting parts too. He was a bit of a fixture in a lot of films going by his IMDB and yet still managed to stay somewhat in the background.

Particularly memorable for me in The Game.
