Its original premise and killer trailer makes it an easy choice for the night. And spoiler free too! You'll buy me a beer!? Yeah, now it's a no-brainer lol! Likewise on the beers. Congrats! |

Just a reminder if you're in LA... the film will be having its world premiere at the historical Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard (Hollywood CA) this Wednesday, 7:15 show (where the Hollywood walk of fame is)... get your tickets now! (not sure if its sold out or not, but theres a lot of seating in the theater its showing in, 25 foot screen). And stick around for the audience Q & A after the film! And if you're still around after that, have a beer with me! Though you'll probably need to tell me your SS handle so I know who you are -- Michael |

What a great night it will be for you bro.
You earned it!
Just remember, everyone had their role in seeing it come about, BUT it never would have made it to the big screen had you not believed in your story enough to put it to paper.
You only get a few moments like this in life.
Enjoy being the coolest man in the room tomorrow night!

Well, made it out to LA for the premiere... and it was awesome! It was a blessing to see the film I wrote on such a humongous screen at one of the most famous theaters in the world, I'm truly blessed. The film received a great ovation... and I just found out that the film won the grand jury award for best picture! Thanks to all who helped out when I was workshopping the script right here on SS back in 2008!

Congrats Michael, That's incredible news about winning best picture for the Grand Jury Award and happy to see your hard work come to fruition. I wish I could have been there to see the film personally especially at a prestigious theatre such as the Chinese theatre. Hopefully you took tons of pictures? Sounds like you a had an awesome night and getting a standing ovation at the end must have been like floating on cloud 9. Any news on a DVD release? |

Once we seal a distribution deal, I'll get more $... got some with the option agreement and the option renewal... got 3 offers for ditribution, not counting the distribution offer from Gravitas Ventures Films, which was the grand prize for winning the film festival... looking for the best deal. http://theartofmonteque.com/20.....with-films-festival/ |

Awesome article on the award winning feature film I wrote (The Suicide Theory -- workshopped on this very website in 200 . Just goes to show... patience is a virtue. And I have a publicist now due to the exposure, new agent soon to follow... much love to Simply Scripts, gave the site a shout out in both the podcast interview I did and w/ the Q and A after the screening at Grauman's Chinese Theater a month ago. Great site for writers of all skill sets, levels of experience, etc. http://p0.vresp.com/qePOYj |

Another film critic review after our screening at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival... of all the reviews we've received (all positive) this is my favorite quote, from this new review -- "So good is this film that I uncomfortably held in one of the biggest pisses I've ever had to take." http://www.fakeshemp.net/reviews/the-suicide-theoryBig news very soon... posted which festival (a big one) we got into when I wasn't supposed to, had to remove it, but will officially reveal the big news soon... -- Mike |
