I predicted a 3-1 win for Germany before the game. Well, that went out of the window!
Wow.

I have a little sympathy for the host's fans but Brazil got lucky during their opening game and have limped through the competition. They got massacred tonight, and I doubt Neymar or Silva would have changed the outcome. Brazil, like England, need a makeover of epic proportions.

Fantastic game. This has to be one of the best World Cups ever, it's nuts!
Every match, bar maybe a couple, has been gung-ho attacking football. Insane! Brilliant!

* How Chelski got £50M for David Luiz... even bigger wow.

- Big time, man. I couldn't believe it when I heard it first and was even more surprised that football commentators weren't calling it out as the biggest transfer rip off of the century.

Maybe they were waiting to see how his World Cup went before passing judgement. It was clear at Chelsea that he's rash, headless and unreliable, not worth half that amount...And after watching him in the last six games for Brazil he's still all those things.

I reckon there is some other dealings going on behind the scenes between the two clubs, there has to be, only explanation. It wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea acquire PSG player further down the line for a cut price or something.

2-1 Argentina... they're cheating bastards so will pull something out the hat at the end. Just like the Germans.

It's a tough call. I kind of want Holland to win just so a European team is guaranteed to win it outside of Europe for the first time.

But then, I want Messi to get his hands on the World Cup. If he does, in my opinion that will make him the greatest ever. He dragged them through the group, even after the worst 45 minutes I've ever seen from him in that first game. Maradonna who?

Gun to my head, I'm saying Holland. They seem to have a bit more quality overall. Got a feeling it might be a boring 0-0, settled on penalties. Cue an 8-7 thriller.

Let us hope fatigue sets in for extra time and the game opens up a little. Didn't want to be right with the boring 0-0 prediction, but it's headed that way.

With two cheating bastards in the final it could be anybody's game. Germany will play dirty as always, fouling. The Argentinians will also play dirty, diving at any given opportunity. They may also use their hands from time to time.

Argentina have got to be the most lacklustre team who have ever made the final... every single match of theirs has criminally boring.

You are correct, sir. It was meant to be for the first time in South America.

I should go back to drawing ligers instead. They're pretty much my favourite animal.

From one of the best semi to the worst.

Germany obviously favorites, don't really care who wins.
Argentina have Messi... Germany have a team.

I can see no way that this will not end with Germany humiliating yet another South American team.

They did trash Argentina 4-0 last world cup.

But you never know with football. I do hope Germany wins. Klose will have played 4 semi-finals and 2 finals, I would feel bad for the guy if he didn't win one World Cup.

Germany were unreal against Brazil what about the scares Algeria and Ghana gave them?

Like every team in this tournament they have weaknesses, not a standout side to be seen at this WC...which I think is a good thing.

However, they do look like they'll have enough for Argentina.

But, having said that, if you think Argentina only have Messi, you obviously haven't heard the opinions on this Argentinian commentator...

Messi did nothing in the semi. The Argie defence got them through.

Germany to win 3-1 for me.  Argentina can win of course but they will have to play something special.

And IMO Messi is nowhere near worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as the elite footballers yet, if ever. Scoring a million goals in La Liga isn't an automatic pass.

Performing for your country consistently in the big events is the key. I would rate Becks higher than Messsi in my top ten of all time, simply because of his ticker when playing for England.
