What a great night. Having know Jeff for 5 years online and getting to meet him face to face was as cool as it gets.
You can't make this stuff up.
Lot's a good snacks, plenty of drinking and great music out on the back patio where it was cool 73 degrees. We have prime New York Strips, shrimp scampi and bay scallops wrapped in bacon.
There was even some dancing...
I have a contract in the works with a movie company and Jeff and I will be working on it together as well.

All in all, last night FANTASTIC.
Welcome to town, brother.

Hi Gabe,
It's going to be a physiological thriller.
The production company had five concepts they wanted to me draw from and this one rose to the top.
We start writing in a few weeks but the outline is pretty much done. I'm just waiting on the contract to be finalized between them and my manager.
That will give me time to finish the re-write of Mission Style. I chatted with Carson Reeves a couple of weeks ago and will be sending it over to him when completed.
Jeff will be focusing primarily on structure and editing as well as input on the story plot holes while I concentrate on the writing itself.
It's a pretty high concept story and I'm excited to be getting on it with Jeff.
Yeah, meeting Shawn in person was awesome. He's the same guy from online, which is great to see. His wife is also awesome and the way they get along gives me faith in mankind again.
Fun night all the way around. We will continue to get together and party like the old men we are.
Jeff will be focusing primarily on structure and editing as well as input on the story plot holes while I concentrate on the writing itself.
Ledbetter specifically points out that Jeff WILL NOT be doing any writing, so I'm assuming the contract is safe. However, I'm not so sure about the editing.... or the plot hole thing. I think Jeff's primary role should focus on focusing.
Jeff has always been able to spot where my stories need the greatest work and his editing abilities are spot on.
He'll be writing and will be involved in every aspect of the script, but someone has to get it on paper. From there, Jeff will have as much control over the direction of the story as myself.
