I suspect this will get buried during the OWC threads, but I'm posting anyway, in case someone might remember the script.

The script used to be posted here, but went bye bye when I took down my website where most of my scripts were hosted.

It's perfect for Halloween and is only available for 24hrs.

The film has won some awards on the festival circuits.

Yes, Marnie. It was. It was back in Feb -11, I think. One for the ladies. Female characters only. The filmmakers found it here though.

It was originally going to be produced by different people and they had a native american actress who is on TV, but obviously that didn't workout. These guys did a good job with it though.

Thanks guys! I'm pleased with it.

Dustin, I've had 26 or so shorts filmed by now from around 10 or so countries. For some reason, the country with the most of them produced is the UK!  Just thought I'd mention that since you are from there and are now stepping into the producer/director shoes. In case you find that interesting, like I do.

Nice work! Easy to be pleased to have your name attached to this one. I saw you shared screenplay credit? How much work did the other gal really do? I remember reading this a few years back. Seems pretty much the way I remember it. Anyway, it was produced well and has a nice look to it. Solid acting. Congrats!

Nice job - looks quite pro.

Like James, I was wondering at the input from Tina? Was this a co-writer bought on during filming and given credit because of a slight change?

Btw, I thought the main actress was pretty good and gore was nicely done - really felt that last scene.

Thanks James and Libby!

Libby, there's a long story behind this, but I'd rather not bring it up here since "issues" have been resolved, but this one was one of those films where credits were grabbed wether warranted or not.

... Say no more.

This is one you should be proud of - looks like they had a proper DOP - there's a very nice look to it, and they didn't overdo the 'turning' - Blood FX were impressive.

Very well made, albeit a rough one to watch... very sad But it had an emotional effect, which is saying something. Didn't provide any scares... until after the credits... that got me because I wasn't expecting it... great acting, which added to the emotional effect... nice work, Pia... you're continuously getting your work produced and out there... I must say, if I were a producer looking to hire a writer, I'd be very impressed by your CV... and you've been doing this consistently for awhile... looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Libby, I believe the director is a wedding videographer. Quite a few of those out there taking the next step into film. I've had a handful of films made by wedding videographers now. I think they have an advantage in that they know how to make things look good from the get go.

Michael, this film when I wrote it was more of a drama with some urgency. I never thought of it as a horror piece. I didn't know there was a scare after the credits! Lol! I actually haven't watched this version yet. I guess I should.

The actress won the best actress award with this film at a resent film festival. It was in London, I believe, but I don't remember the name of it right now. It was just a few weeks ago.

About continuously getting produced. I've said a million times and I'll say it again. IMO, there's no better place than SS to get your stuff produced! Producers/directors do browse this place looking for scripts. I don't think I have anything posted here right now other than a short, but I used to have a boatload of them. That's the secret, I think. Be productive and post it here. Sure, sometimes people "steal" your stuff, but IMHO, it's better to have stuff stolen than no one ever seeing your work.

I have actually been contacted by producers and directors too about writing for hire, but I blew those chances. Why? Because I wasn't ready. I thought I was, but I realize now that I wasn't. I'm currently trying to get better at writing features, because that's really where bigger stuff is. It's been hard. I hate rewrites, but I'm slowly starting to embrace them. A necessary evil. My last one, I rewrote several times and it did get better with each draft. It's slated for production in -15. So far, I'm still slugging it out in the low budget arena, but my goal is to be able to some day write a feature with the same confidence and ease I learned to write shorts. Maybe then, someone might actually offer up some money for my efforts.

Thanks for watching.

Wow, nice, Pia. It's always nice to see and hear of members doing well.

I'm torn on this. I support you, Pia, but, unfortunately, I don't really want to support the filmmakers.

I respect that you worked it out, but I do have concerns about encouraging this sort of thing. I see you don't really want to talk about it so I won't go into any details, except to say that, had the filmmakers done the right thing, I would be much more thrilled for you. Under the circumstances, however, I admit their actions have put a damper on my excitement.

Please know that I always support you, though. I'm also happy for the actress who won an award.

So I'm happy if you're happy, and I hope the filmmakers realize how lucky they are.

Wish you the best.
