Hey guys,

I'm close to finished the conversion of my Psychological Thriller "Evanesce" from a screenplay to a fictional novel with the intent of
going through the self publishing route to gain exposure for the story.

I have had several design for the Book Cover completed and have selected my favourite eight( out of them.
I would appreciate if you could please take a look and vote on the one you feel is the most enticing and makes you want to learn more or want to read the book.

Please follow the link below and any feedback you leave would also be appreciated.

I, too, voted. Regretably, the rest of the world voted incorrectly.

Voted! Some cool stuff in the running. I am impressed.

Out of curiosity, how does the website which these have been posted on work?

Ha! I gave 5 stars to the most voted one.

But all of them look really good, Alex.

Self publishing is a nightmare and is unlikely to gain you any exposure. Why not go through a traditional publisher?

Left my votes on all of them.

The fog effect on 23 looks a bit overdone to me, but I liked both 23 and 93 the most. I can't choose between the two since they seem to give such a different view of the possible tone and contents of the book. Since I haven't read it, I have no idea which could be a better fit.

Best of luck with the novel.

It's not as easy as that, Dustin.

No traditional publishing agency gives you the time of day unless your novel is presented to them by an industry professional.  An Agent.  And gaining an Agent is about as simple as climbing a mountain with no hands.  In other words, impossible.

Self-Publishing is the way to go about it now.  The only crutch about it is you have to do all the promoting/marketing yourself.

So if you're passionate about your work, you'll do everything you can to ensure it succeeds.  If you do nothing and just self-publish one night without doing any marketing at all, it'll flop.

-----------------------

Good luck with the book, Alex.

Which is an extremely massive crutch and seems to defeat the purpose here. Writing a novel to promote a screenplay when you will be self-promoting the novel anyway seems a little pointless.

The idea of writing a novel is to get it published, make lots of sales and then sell the idea of the screenplay. You're not going to make lots of sales through self publishing.

Start at the bottom... get a few shorts published, win some competitions, gain credibility. Till then, stop wasting your time... IMO.

I went for the favourite. There is a real dynamism to the dying character, though I think a dark cover would be better.
