Congratulations to Khamanna for winning the Short Wars!

Looks to be a yearly contest to write a screenplay that can ...be shot in one day with minimal locations, characters & effects.   The Contest opens again August 2015.

Ow, wow, a whole new thread for me... And this one doesn't read "happy b-day".

THanks Don for noticing and posting!

And thanks to everyone else for the congrats!

I wrote it like 3 years ago. Hopefully one day it's finally shot and I get to submit a link to the film here.

I know a lot of people don't buy into these types of screenwriting comps, but this is exactly what I love about them.

A lot of us have know Kham for a long time. We've watched her writing evolve (along with our own), and she's been an incredibly supportive member of our writing community. We appreciate her, but now others will be asking...who is this Khamanna Iskandarova?? Casting a wider net means more interest in your work and more opportunities. And it certainly doesn't hurt to get acknowledgement beyond our small circle of writers. It's a nice ego boost.

Congrats again, Khamanna!!

I believe the difference with this one is that the winning script actually gets made. I was a finalist last year with All About Janet, that I went on to make myself. So, this should result in a writing credit.

Well, the photo certainly won't hurt haha.  Very nice.

Wonderful news, and congrats.
