Way to go, guys. So far, ten people from SS were counted. That's awesome. Best of luck to everyone. =)

Jeff entered Unforgettable and Rick entered Bone Deep. Both made the QFs.

Both of those were originally written for a 7WC. The 7WC also gave me two produced features! I think Khamanna has interest in one of hers as well. Maybe we should do another 7WC soon? The last one was a year ago.

I like that idea Pia... That is where Quarantine Island got its start as did others that are in the works for me. It forces me to keep a goal/schedule and these days working full time it's harder to feel like writing.

Yeah, I've never done a 7WC. I'd throw my hat into the ring, but it's quite a task isn't it?

Dena, sorry, I forgot!!! You had Dead Cell too, from a 7WC as well!

See, they work!

Yes, but that's the point. A lot of times, as a writer for hire, you only get a couple or three weeks to  write a first draft. Sure, most of these scripts are rough early drafts, but once you receive a lot of feedback, you know where to take the rewrites.

It's both harder, and easier, than trying to write one in your own time.

Time can get really pressing, but it also gives you a drive and motivation that you don't always have at your own speed.

I can say categorically it will improve you as a writer.

If I can do it, you can do it. I am a very slow writer, usually.

Congratulations, everyone! I'm relatively new to SS, but I'm already blown away by all the talent on here. Hope to see more of these names in the semifinals!
