Hey guys - I've been chatting with Jen Mello (who administers/runs FilmInterchange.)

She let me know that they've got a streaming film-making seminar going on shortly.  The deadline for applying is today.  (NYC locals can head over to Brooklyn.)

And everyone can get info here: http://www.filminterchange.com/

*PLEASE NOTE: It is a fee-based seminar - I believe $400 for a season's worth*

But if interested, here are the specifics from their latest newsletter.

Final Thought Leader Announced!
Meet Vladan Nikilic!
Joining us on Tuesday October 27th!

Director/Writer/Producer and Professor at The New School!

Vladan Nikolic is an independent filmmaker, who has written and directed five feature films, and produced many more, as well as documentaries and other projects. His films screened and were awarded at numerous festivals, including Venice, Tribeca, San Francisco, Telluride, Barcelona, Geneva, etc. and have been released in the US and internationally. Nikolic was among the digital filmmaking pioneers in the 90’s; his first feature Burn prompted Amy Taubin of Film Comment to write, “Vladan Nikolic proves himself a director to watch with this intense, nightmare thriller..." His second feature LOVE (2005) also premiered to rave reviews, with the NY Times naming LOVE an “elegantly directed” critic’s pick, and the Village Voiceexclaiming “Love gives you hope for the future of independent movies.”

The LA Times called Nikolic a “visionary writer-director,” for his 2010 futuristic feature ZENITH. The film has been released in a unique and innovative way, combining theatrical, DVD, and online releases over multiple platforms. In 2011, parts of ZENITH were released online at SXSW Interactive and within days received unprecedented millions of downloads and a cult following. Nikolic’s next feature ALLURE (2014), an art-house improvisational drama about the lives of five immigrant women in NY, has been released theatrically and on video-on-demand in 2015, while his last feature, the international comedy BOUREK (2015) premiered at the Athens International Film Festival in Greece this September. Vladan is Associate professor of film and media studies at The New School, and has also taught filmmaking at New York University.
