You've been subscribing me to newsletters. I haven't looked deeper than this yet, don't give me cause to.
I made a complaint to the sites in question, threatening them with legal action. I could do the same thing to your ISP, who will in turn find you and tell you to stop.
Sneaky, cowardly way to behave just because I didn't like your script. I'm sure Don could also cross check this IP and find out who you are. They may not tell me, but others will now know exactly the type of sneaky, underhand person you really are.

It's already resolved. One of the sites shared the IP used to sign up for the newsletter. This has happened before too but I ignored it. Anyway, once I had the IP, I figured that I'd name and shame.
I don't want to dig any deeper. But the person should know that this could be termed malicious which can also be criminal in certain cases. It's trollish and a complaint to the police is enough cause for investigation to determine if a crime has been committed. Even if there aren't any criminal charges, a visit from the police would not be a nice experience. Plus, the shame of other people knowing the kind of person you really are would be unpleasant.
It doesn't take much to copy paste an email address and subscribe to newsletters. It's just the underhand nature of it that gets me. I'm not adversely affected in any way. I just happened to get the IP, saw that it came from the US... and this has happened before, maybe from the same person. I just laughed it off last time.
I don't do social network and I no longer debate on line. This site is pretty much the only place I can piss anyone off in cyberspace. I also know that that particular newsletter was signed up on the 14th of January.
My main aim with this thread was simply to warn the person. Hopefully they learn something from it and become less of a snide. You know, the kind of person that would spit in your coffee when you're not looking... that's what the character of this person suggests. It's not a nice way to be. Hopefully they learn and change their ways.
