Thanks guys! I just got my email an hour ago. They asked me a bunch of questions and for a pic. None which were in the newsletter, but I learned that there are more than one newsletter. There is also a producers newsletter. I can't see that one, but they told me they have more info n it and a link and logline to a current script posted there.

Not quite as impressive as Matias, but I'll take it.

Congrats Pia. At this point, it seems you could randomly tap keys blindfolded, then toss the script out the window and have it land in the hands of a producer who just happened to be walking by.

Seriously, I know you worked hard for it. Best of luck with it.

Thanks!!

This is what it said in the newsletter.
"Kevin Dewalt with Minds Eye Entertainment found "The Hit” on InkTip and optioned it from Pia Cook. Kevin's credits include "Forsaken” starring Kiefer and Donald Sutherland and "The Tall Man” starring Jessica Biel, among others. Pia is an experienced screenwriter whose credits include "Blackout” and the upcoming "Dead Ringer,” and this is her first success through InkTip."

Not quite, Breanne. For some reason it just started looking that way when I decided to quit. How weird is that?

And, btw, you have a LOT to do with my improvements! I'll never forget that.

I did write a little short story for creepypasta. Trying my prose there first under a different name, of course.    It has not been posted yet and maybe it never will be, but it's still a first step.

Indeed, he is.

I actually remember the ads for this one, but never saw it. Supposed to be pretty brutal.

I saw it on TV some 12-13 years ago on a Dutch Film channel. I remember it was during summer and the movie looked cheap and was pretty bad. If I remember right, there was a part at the end where one of the vampires sings the lyrics to Enter Sandman by Metallica.

That was a bait and switch movie. You were promised one movie based on the marketing, got a totally different thing. Not that that's a bad thing. If you catch it on TV, it might be a nice experience. But if you go to a cinema wanting to see a horror and you get a drama-thriller, you might be upset.

Thanks again, guys!

Yep, the western indeed. I'm still very excited since these guys are new to me. I don't expect this will turn into an Oscar movie or a high grossing film, but I think it's a step up for me. I believe the budget for Forsaken was $20M and that's pretty big. I've never dealt with producers that can even get that kind of budget. The Hit will be around 1-1,1M, I was told.

I can't wait to see who they will cast for the 35 year old female lead.

@ Demento, possibly even worse if you go in expecting something like the Direcors first film, Martyrs! But no I didn't see it at cinema!

Yes, congrats Pia!  I noticed you mentioned this in one of the other threads and you also mentioned Screenplay Readers.  I threw my TV pilot at them and they gave good feedback and I feel like I would use them in the future, so thanks for that (even though you didn't directly tell me.  Yeah, I was eavesdropping, so what!   )

Hope it turns out well for you!
