Suppose you'd have to be a gentleman, or lady, of a certain age to know about Blake's 7. Either that or a sci-fi nut. Not that there's anything wrong with that type of thing.

I used to love Blake's 7. There are a few episodes I still love now. It's dated, done cheaply and some of the sets are a bit wobbly, but there are some great characters and stories. I'll miss you, Roj.

Good luck on the other side, fella. I'll be thinking of you. Merle too.

Glad to hear to hear it AC. I knew it couldn't be just me.

Indeed it was Zen. The big thing with the blocky display that used to say "Information" when it had an announcement to make. The first ever episode sets the scene well for the rest of the later stuff.

I refuse to use a search engine instead of my memory these days, well, most of the time. So from memory I remember the small fishtank smartarse computer called Orac. Or summat like that. He had a small key block that switched him on and off. I often saw the tech expert Avon pull the key out when Orac was getting  a bit too uppity.

I remember a nice type of guy who was also a thief. The tall woman Avon was having an affair with had the shorn cut long before Demi Moore in GI Jane and Ripley in Alien 3. There were new ones in later series, but I'm sketchy on the details there.

Anyway, this is about Blake, who I do indeed miss. I'm not so big on getting upset when a celebrity dies. But in some cases, especially when these people meant something to you in your youth - it does get to more than perhaps it should. Or maybe it's perfectly okay. I dunno. I just know what I feel.

Blake's 7. If only I could stop myself and twat my inner pedant with a big stick. I'm sure if I ask down the pub somebody will oblige. They did last week.

B7 was late seventies I think. It went on into the eighties. I seem to remember Blake himself disappeared for quite a while, thus rendering the title of the series inaccurate, or so my dad said.

Thanks dad. Maybe we should watch that bloke on the telly doing woodwork again. That'll be feckin' thrilling. At least he's tidy. And there's a severe lack of hoarding in his workshop. I bet he can find a spanner when he wants one. Okay I'll fix me own bike. Again. Eejit.

I think he was busy in TV most of the time. GT I mean. Not me dad. He probably was in Bergerac. GT again. Me dad was probably down boozer. It wouldn't surprise me.

I seem to remember GT on Jackanory. Not quite as good as Kenneth Williams was at it, but then who ever was, or indeed is?

I saw GT in quite a few bits of telly, but it so long ago naming names would be unwise. And probably well off. Ah well. It was with one of those bracelets and the laser gun I'll remember him for. Sorely missed. As is Father Jack Hackett. Arse! Good luck, Frank.

I have vague memories of my dad sending me to bed just before it came on. I do remember watching The Day of the Triffids which was kinda freaky. Sapphire and Steel was always pretty weird too. I'm sure there was an episode with killer pillows.

Anyway... seem to be a lot of people dying recently.

Steady now gents. You'll start me on a young Joanna Lumley type thing. I'm not really sure this is the right board or time for that. Kuriahkin. Eh?

Pillows. Of lust. Piper said that in Carrie. Or maybe it was Joanna. Poor old Sissy. Oops, I'm tangenting when I should be pushing GT. I mean his life. Oh fuck it. I dunno worra mean. I couldn't even find the M62 last night. Feckin' M1. And don't start me on the M6. I am not going near Brum in a car again for another decade. Car park. That's what I say. Too much.

Ah. I see someone is fertile and busy. Congrats.

As you say, a lot of folk are passing of late. I'm just glad I'm not Eire. Had to go to a funeral almost every week. They were all very old. You just wish they'd stay around a bit longer and not go so close to each other. What's another year or two? Bonus, that's what I say. Then hopefully more later. Time. Never enough. Actually there's loads. Now, where's my Camus and Satre books. Oh no, I sold them to buy baccy. What an eejit.
