This is exciting news. Nick Castle will reprise his role as The Shape in next year's Carpenter-produced-and-scored Halloween 40th anniversary sequel, which will ignore all previous sequels, as well as Zombie's films.

Carpenter. Curtis. Castle. It's looking more and more likely that they'll bring back Dean Cundey as Director of Photography. Hopefully 35mm anamorphic to match the original.

More regurgitated shite.

I hope this fails badly so they don't waste money on making any more. Hopefully, they put the money into new projects instead.

Why do people live in the past?

Well if I owned the I.P. for the franchise, I’d probably be fine with a low-risk rerun.

But since most people aren’t in that position, it’d be better overall if they worked on something new.

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

Additional scripts are listed here.

Commercially it makes sense. Mid-budget horror movie, which is a sort of a brand and has a following.

Artistically, we're talking about a movie with a remake, prequel and what, like 7 sequels.
