I've been around for awhile now and seem to have arrived a bit after Matias stopped frequenting SS. I have heard a lot about him and his success but I haven't really been exposed to any of his work. I know Mayhem is a feature he wrote and I'm keen to check it out.

After watching The Dollmaker today I decided to have a read of one of his scripts. Then I read another, and another, before I knew it I had read all the shorts that he currently has on SS.

Holy shit, can he write. It's just next level storytelling.

This guy can do more with 6 pages than I think most could do with 90.

The scripts are layered, intricate, thought provoking. Just extremely well crafted.

I think for anyone like me who hasn't read his work and wants to know how to write a damn good script, check them out.

Personal favourite is The Tower of Wishes.

Just wow!!

The Tower of Wishes is probably my favorite too, but he has loads more. He was a member at MoviePoet before that shut down, so he contributed one 5 page script every month for years. He won almost every single month and thus became a legend there. Amazing talent. And, he proves that you can live outside of the US to get noticed too. Another continent even. He has worked VERY hard on his craft though and that's what it takes if you want to be taken seriously. Unique stories and great writing.

Totally agree on his work

I downloaded a few before MP shut. Indeed I read the three of swords just last night!

I must re visits the tower of wishes, but so far I feel that the Doll Maker is as good a short script as I have ever read.

My favorite is Black Rose Garden. I have a lot of his stuff saved, but don't have access to my comp right now.

I'd love to read it if that's possible?

EDIT: Or if anyone has any of his scripts that they don't mind sharing that would be great

He's an amazing talent and actually a very nice guy as well. He made some helpful comments on some of my scripts when he frequented SS. Al managed to option a few of his scripts, (including DM) before he 'made it' in Hollywood, which is lucky as now his agent wants $$$$ for any of his work! This is understandable of course, Matias deserves it.

I'll most definitely do as soon as I settle and unpack my comp. I have a folder named MC. What a great writer.
