The general chat board used to be one of the busiest boards. Maybe that's why things seem a little slower lately? We used to be chattier.

Let's see how this one goes. I'll start. This is true, btw. I can see through peoples' clothes...

What!
X-ray vision?
...

I can predict when electrical storms are coming due to migraine - when there's no cloud or any hint of one coming. Near one hundred percent. Sometimes the odd one gets by me but most of 'em.

Well, it's not like I go out in public and see naked people. I don't. It's kind of like looking through a camera. If I WANT to see someone, I have to switch to a different lens and I can only see that person. Not everyone.

I think it's my brain forming pictures based on what it has seen in the past. I'm old now so I've seen everything from babies to old people naked. I also worked at an early age in a hospital where I would help/wash/bathe anyone from a baby to old people and even dead people. I have also been involved in horse breeding and dog shows, so looking at body form in different species has given me a critical eye to the physique. If I change the lens to my "camera" I see right through people's clothing, unless they wear a lot of bulky clothes. It's like my brain adds up everything it can see with the regular lense and then shows me a picture without the clothes.

Sometimes I can guess what number someone is going to say, before they say it. It's been a strange ability, and completely useless and not 100%. Noticed it with football games when the refs would call out the numbers and sometimes I could see the number before they said it.

I think I'd rather be able to see (some) people naked now that I think about it.

How early in advance? Could it be due to pressure change?

I think I know what you're talking about. Just a flash before it happens, but not early enough to benefit at a casino like Tony asked?

It's nothing sexual. Just part of assessing someone. I study people all the time. Surely I can't be the only one that does?

I've developed noxious gas as I've got older, almost lethal so I'm told!

It's starting to sound like we have a rival team to Mystery Men

Pervy Woman - Superpower of X-ray vision but not through anything useful, just for seeing people naked.
Weather Vane - Superpower of short term weather change knowledge, useful for getting the washing in
The Gas Man - Superpower of toxic gas in small blast radius, useful for room clearance and pest control
Number Man - Superpower of right number precognition, just after it's useful.

Any more?

I had an immense fascination with serial killers when I was a child, knew pretty much everything about all the major ones when I was like 10 (Gacy, Dahmer, Bundy, etc). Copy Cat (starring Sigourney Weaver) was actually my favorite movie for a while when I was around that age. It kind of disturbed everybody, though my grandmother felt it was a good opportunity to introduce me to the Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents, shows she loved as a kid. She wouldn't let me watch R movies (my parents did), but I was allowed to watch that shit and have nightmares lol.

But, now I'm an adult and I'm still obsessed with serial killers, cold case and true crime -- but now everybody is thanks to ID discovery, Netflix, etc... so I guess it's not creepy anymore. As for the bodies in my basement, that's whole another thing...

This sound like a great premise for a script.

The writer who was fascinated with serial killers as a child starts a screenplay on one but discovers the only way to write an authentic script is to become his Protag.

Working Title: SCRIPTED KILLING

KILLER SCRIPT

Not a very interesting one - but 95% of the time I wake up when the digital clock has the same numbers.

e.g., 2:22, 12:12. 1:11 etc.

Oh wow. I don't know if you're kidding but I too see a three digit number. I'm not telling which one, because I decided it's my lucky number before I told someone.

Oh, one other thing - I sleep on my back, and keep very straight and never move in my sleep. I do look like a dead person in my sleep. And I can wake up whenever I like without an alarm.

There's a famous Russian show about a Russian secret agent who worked for nazis and for big ones like Himmler and such. He could wake up whenever. He also could fall asleep and sleep for the decided amount time.

I watched it when I was little and I started working on it. So I trained myself to be like him. Only there's no application for it whatsoever.

Ha, good flick. Have you seen it recently? There's some pretty hilarious "high tech in 1995" stuff in there. Especially the sequence where the killer blows everyone's minds by sending an email with an .avi attached.

not exactly creepy, but 85% of the time I make up a stat, it's 100% correct almost 70% of the time (There is a +5/-5% margin allowed either side)

I have seen it recently, think I saw it pop up on Prime or Netflix or something. It still holds up IMO, but yeah, the high tech shit has aged dramatically. Another one I've seen recently that aged very poorly is "Cellular" with Kim Basinger. It's fucking hilarious!

It will be even creepier when the clock says 6:66.

I'm so normal and boring it might be considered creepy.

One guy told me in college... "Of all the people I know, you're the one who most needs drugs."

He was right.

Still is.
