Has anyone seen or heard from SS member James Barron (MarkItZero)?

One of the best comedy writers on the site and an all-round good guy. While SS is a virtual space I still consider him a great mate who's been a massive support in my writing endeavours. It would be a loss to the site if he has moved on.

He dropped off the face of the earth months ago and I've struggled to get a hold of him.

Hmm, I haven't seen him, Warren.
I loved The Narrator, and he was on a roll there for a while getting scripts optioned.

I'm sure you've tried the usual avenues like FB and email?
What about PM on Script Revolution?

He sure was. I've tried most places, but hadn't thought of Script Revolution... will give it a go.

James is the best! A generous and genius note provider and all-around good dude.

I have not heard from him in a while either.

Warren - PM me if you don't have his email.

All good, I found him. Life just gets in the way some times, but hopefully he'll be back in the not-too-distant future!

Hey all, can confirm I'm not dead! Just been a stressful last year or so. Haven't logged in here in awhile. Hope everyone's doing well and thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to 2023 being a good year.

This should be a SS rule. Log in every once in a while to confirm continued existence.

Glad you're not dead.

I've been thinking about this.

At first, I thought, we should start a thread titled: "I'm Not Dead" in which all members occasionally post to let the group know... well, that's obvious.

But, then, I thought: that's quite a bit of work. How often should I post that I'm not dead? Weekly? Monthly? It just seems too much.

So, I propose, we start a new thread titled: I'm Dead. That way, you only have to post if you die.

I'm pretty sure this will work.

CUSTOMER: Here's one.

CART MASTER: Nine pence.

DEAD PERSON: I'm not dead!

CART MASTER: What?

CUSTOMER: Nothing. Here's your nine pence.

DEAD PERSON: I'm not dead!

CART MASTER: 'Ere. He says he's not dead!

CUSTOMER: Yes, he is.

DEAD PERSON: I'm not!

CART MASTER: He isn't?

CUSTOMER: Well, he will be soon. He's very ill.

DEAD PERSON: I'm getting better!

CUSTOMER: No, you're not. You'll be stone dead in a moment.

CART MASTER: Oh, I can't take him like that. It's against regulations.

DEAD PERSON: I don't want to go on the cart!

CUSTOMER: Oh, don't be such a baby.

CART MASTER: I can't take him.

DEAD PERSON: I feel fine!

CUSTOMER: Well, do us a favor.

CART MASTER: I can't.

CUSTOMER: Well, can you hang around a couple of minutes? He won't be long.

CART MASTER: No, I've got to go to the Robinsons'. They've lost nine today.

CUSTOMER: Well, when's your next round?

CART MASTER: Thursday.

DEAD PERSON: I think I'll go for a walk.

CUSTOMER: You're not fooling anyone, you know. Look. Isn't there something you can do?

DEAD PERSON: [singing] I feel happy. I feel happy.

[whop]

CUSTOMER: Ah, thanks very much.

CART MASTER: Not at all. See you on Thursday.

I’ll never forget, many years ago, sitting in a dentist waiting room. I was all stressed out because I was getting my first root canal, so I hopped on SS and started reading a script by James. I forgot the name, but it had a guy sitting in a restroom stall taking a dump, and as he’s relieving himself he proclaims, “Fuck yeah!” I started cracking up in the waiting room, and that relieved a little of my stress until Ty was drill time.

Ok Paul, that's pretty funny.  You can't let that idea go to waste.  A dollar says you can't work it successfully into the next "Challenge" script.

Every Time It Snows (Holiday Drama)
Happy Holi-DNA (Holiday Romance)
Let That Pony Run (Family Drama)

You need a sound effect to go along with posts like these. A Law and Order type thing: BUM, BUM.
