Dave, I think the point that Jeff is trying to make is that the "review" that SPQR gave is less of a review and more of an insult. I understand Jeff's frustration with this entire situation.

Zack - no - that's not his point.  He's pissed that posts were deleted.

Zack is correct.  The post was not feedback that could be used by any writer.  It was a complete slam on both the writer and the script, yet it was not deleted.

Andy responded to that post, and I responded to Andy about the reviewer, yet all posts were deleted except the one that started the whole thing.

If I had posted the initial comment, I would have been deleted and I bet a bunch of peeps would also jump in and call me an arse.

So you're pissed about the quality of the reviewer's comments and not the fact that your post was deleted? Based on all of your comments up to this moment - color me confused.

I've spent the past week relocating to Sydney, settling in, conquering jet lag, and starting a new job! But will jump on and review some of these over the weekend.

Congrats to all who entered.

I'm pissed my posts were deleted (as well as Andy's) but the initial post was not.

Again, if I had made that initial post, it would have been deleted instantly!

Explain.

You state Jeff's pissed because of SPQR comment .

I state Jeff's pissed because his post was deleted.

Jeff says he's pissed because his  post was deleted

I would have handled it exactly how it was handled.  What you saw was the torture porn debate and how that blew up the thread and a polite request from Libby to move it to a different thread. ALL of the comments have been retained in the thread related to the review of the script and the torture porn debate.

What you probably didn't see was a subsequent altogether different blow-up after Libby's request that started with one peep attacking the quality of another peeps comments on scripts in general thus blowing up the thread again on an entirely unrelated topic. Those comments were deleted.  The action was entirely appropriate IMO.

It seems Jeff is pissed that his posts were deleted but SPQR's wasn't- whose post he claims was just as, if not more, inflammatory.

Nailed it. Not sure why that's so confusing.

My apologies to all the writers of scripts I didn't get to, but I'm all done here.

The BS of deleting my posts over and over really pisses me off.  There's a Mod who really likes her power and loves to wield it.

Have fun.  Kid out.

This was Jeff's original post. Seems clear.

In terms of SQ comment on the thread, I can only guess that his was not deleted because it dealt with the script  at hand. Jeff's post dealt with SQ. Jeff was also pissed that several of his non SQ posts were deleted

No, but I'm really dumb sometimes, so I guess this is par for my course.

Maybe I'm just pissed in general.  Maybe I'm just a pissy old Fart who wants to cause trouble.  Maybe I'm just pissed at being pissed on all the time.
