Sweatshop Union and Swollen Members are also a part of Canada's rap scene, rap has kinda molded into the rest of hip hop with all these duets and singing tracks so if you hate rap than I guess you hate all that is hip hop

The British rap scene is very interesting as of late.  DIZEE RASCAL's music is getting a lot better, if his grammar isn't (with titles like Wot U Onn) and The Streets is popular, even if I don't get why he's so popular, the words are kinda changed so it sounds like it rhymes every once in a awhile, and all of his albums sound like they were recorded in a 14 year old's attic.

I purchased Dizzee Rascal's album, my only problem is he rap's with to thick an accent and sometimes it's hard to understand

That said Fix Up, Look Sharp is probably better than most rap songs, well in my opinion.

Bizzy from D12 is a funny comedic rapper who as a solo artist would be complete and utter sh*t but if he released a comedy album of raps I'd buy it, I think it would sell 3 million records because his raps are funny and shocking at times

Fix up, Look Sharp, is definetly a great song, totally agree with you on that whole last post.  D12 is okay, but the only reason that people go to their concerts or even like them is because they have Eminem in the group, without Eminem they would be nothing, and that's a shame, because Proof and Bizzy are both Better and slighly funnier, respectively, than Eminem.  Half of the fans don't even know the group, can't identify them name them or nothing.  When I was at a concert one time a group of girls asked me in the hallway as i was off to the Men's room if I was a member of D12, which I thought was kinda weird, considering all 6 of them were on stage at the time...

First time it happened to me, except for one strange incident when two 12 year old kids started asking me if I was a pimp or a playa.

Sadly everyone is like that, stereotypes of the world.

D12 is a better band without eminem's whiney voice, his songs on his albums suck but with d12 and Obie there better for some reason. How Come is a better song than My Band but the reason My band gets so much more is because it's less about something and more about Eminem acting like an ass

Like D12 said "D12 is nothing without Eminem but Eminem is nothing without D12" I think that's because they came up together and Eminem or any of them would not have made it without the rest supporting

the Best rapper alive is Jay-Z, in my opinion.  He fell off for a while after he did The Blueprint 2, which was bad (the neptunes producing style just doesn't fit in with Jay's rapping style), but with the black album, he came back, and definetly went out with one of the best albums of his career, if not THE BEST.

You ever heard that Jay-Z song Threat? Cedric the Entertainers part as a gangsta named Thrix is worth listening to alone.  "I keep trashbags with me, never know when you gon' have to dump one, after i throw a molotov cocktail through ya Momma's Momma's house, you crazy sucka."

Stuff like that, it makes you laugh out loud.

I've never been able to get into Jay Z, it's like how pop singers have there catchy songs but you just can't like them because you know they didn't write it. Well Jay Z I feel was too cocky and has the Eminem effect on me, just makes me not want to listen

In fact if Jay Z is the best rapper alive than it must be easy to get that title, very easy

I think that Q-Tip is just as good as Jay-Z even though you dont see him on TRL.

Dre as in Dr. Dre? I think he has a final album coming soon unless you meant someone else

Yeah, he's got an album called "the deetox" droppin' this fall, which is a little ironic considering his firsst album was called "the chronic".  It took Jay-Z nine albums to do it, and i'm not sayin' the black album was one of the best farewell albums, on 11 songs out of 14 he mentions how he's retiring and leaving the game, and his last song is a letdown, in my opinion, except for the very end, where he shouts "it's ya boy!" one last time and then slams the door shut.  Very fitting.  Jay-Z does come across as cocky, but he's not just some kid anymore, he's got the whole Rocka-Fella empire under his hands now, and if nearly all of his albums have gone platinum, that's gotta tell you something about his fans.

Anyway, Q-Tip is incredible, i like a lot of his stuff, but can't seem to find any of his latest music, because Q-Tip just wants to make good music, unlike a lot of other rappers, who want to make good music but make sure it makes as much money as they can get their greedy hands on.  So, they release a good album and then put two or three crappy songs that they know teens will like on the album and then release it.  Eminem did it on the eminem show, and Jay-Z did it with the black album, only reason "change clothes" is on the cd.

What about Kanye West?  Any of you like him?  I got the college dropout, i think it's okay, it's far from a rare occasion where I like every song on the disk, but i think that the best song on the disk is still "all falls down".  Some songs are a complete waste, like the 12 minute track "encore" where four minutes is him and jay z rapping, and then 8 minutes is just him, no music, talking about how his career got started.  It is very boring, and a lot of his words are unintelligible, so it's hard to understand what he's trying to say.  Jesus Walks is an okay song, i love the message and the beat that's going on, but there's something wrong with it.

I am not trying to preach to y'all, just saying how in some instances the song can be very hypocratic, or just plain messed up.
The song is about following Jesus and how much you need him.  Yet, even though the LORD he speaks of preaces against cursing and he cusses several times in the song, about four five times in the first verse alone.  The other thing i don't like his how he continually complains about how most rappers can't rap about jesus, 'cause then their record won't get played,  which is crap.  If he really wanted to do a christian song with a christian message he'd stick to the topic of the LORD (it's always capitalized in the bible so i capitalized it here) and not go on about how he won't make any money off of the song.  That's kinda messed up when you think about it.

Anyone heard Little Jimmy Urine rap? It's sort of like an 80's revival mixed with lots and lots of stupidity. It's quite amusing.

La-di Da-di

To all the stupid people and the rest
You are about to witness something you've never witnessed before this
but ladies and gentlemen Kenny Muhammad and his lucky two members of Little Jimmy
(impossible to hear this part)
in the place to be we're gonna show you how to do it for the year 2005
kicking it, and are you sick all the mothers like in their world
because we need to continue to rock stop his modem cold to minimize the scene
cutting out all the lyrical coherence because we know how to up-upload it
this is a Paul mix man we all wish underworld set this no good moment
and ya'll know us that's when we run into something like this

La-di-da-di da-di-da-di we likes to party-party
We always causing trouble-trouble bothering everybody
We are just just some men up on the mic
When-when we grab the pitch, YO WE GRAB THAT SHIT TIGHT
Fuck all-a-y'all who's going to Hell
Just keep on smiling and enjoy yourself
'Cause it's cool when you cause a cozy-conditionin'
That's what we create, because that be our mission
So listen close to what we say
Because (WHAT) this type of shit happens every day (WHAT)
this type of shit happens EVERY DAY (WHAT)
THIS TYPE OF SHIT HAPPENS EVERY DAY

I woke up AROUND two in the MORNIN'
Did a lot of COKE, strechin', YAWNIN'
Went into the BATHROOM to wash UP
Put the soap on my face and my hand on my crotch
Said, mirra-mirra on-on the wall, who be that top-choice of-of them all?
There was a rubble-rubble-dubble
Five minutes it lasted. The mirror said...

You are you conceited bastard!
Well that's true, that's why we never have no beef
And so I washed off the soap and brushed the gold teeth
Change my clothes, spark my hair
I busted out the brand new Gucci underwear
And for all the little girls that I might take home, we have
The Johnson's baby powder and the Polo cologne
Fresh dressed like a million dolla's
I wore the high tops and pop the flat colla'
Stepped out the crib, stopped short
Ahhh, nawww shit, God damn
SHIT I FORGOT MY FUCKING CANGO

Dammy-dilly-dally, me run into an alley
Got me busted into me old girl Shaniqua from the valley, (uhh-huhh)
God damn bitch played hard to get
So I said, what's up girl, you look like shit
Don't cry, dry your eye
Sally tells her momma, you all better hide tonight
Because her mom stepped up from behind
Hit her in the FACE, stabbed her in the EYE
Punched her in the BELLY, stepped on her FEET
Slammed the girl on the hard concrete
Oohhhh BITCH was STRONG, momma's GONE
Something seemed WRONG, now what is going on
I tried to bust it up, I said, stop it, leave her
She said, if I can't have you, she can't eitherrrrrrrrr

She grabbed me hard, grabbed my cock
I broke out like I had the chicken pox
Momma gave chase, she caught us quickly
She put her fucking finger in the face of Little Jimmy and said,
Why don't you give me some play
Stop avoiding me like you is gay
I wet my pants whenever you say
Oohhh bitches love me cause they know that I can (beat box)
Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, can't you see
Sometimes your words just hypnotize me
I love your faggy ways, I guess that's why you're always getting laid
Oohh on and on and on and on and... (WORD) whatever (SHAKA-ZULU)

I said, (PLAYED OUT) I'm gonna give her a kiss
I said, you can't have me, I'm too young for you miss
She said, no you are not, then she starts crying
I said, I'm 18 and she says stop lying
Seriously, go ask my mother
And with your wrinkled pussy, you can't be my loverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
POW

Okay people, we're talking about Kenny Muhammad
The Human Orchestra, I'm not jokin' ya know
He's wicked, he's livin', he's vibin'
With the hardcore battle beatery
Beatbox criminal, crackin' his haggery
That's a little something special for your Mindless CD
