Who here listens to Evanescence?

If you don't, then you're surely missing out on an awesome band and an awesome vocalist in Amy Lee.

But probably not...

I can't say I like one of their songs.  They sound like Linkin Park "another terrible band" only with a girl singing.  

And I'll tell you why --  They always start the songs off slow "or more often than not" and then they always bleed into this "so called" heavy guitar crap whith her and some guy screaming in the back ground.  

It's just... I dunno... plain, basic, normal everyday stuff.  They will never be remembered as anything more than just "A" band in a time of a lot of "mediocre" bands.

The Who -- U2 -- Rolling Stones -- R.E.M. -- etc etc etc those are real bands.  Those are bands that have/had albumbs sell 11 to 15 million "U2's A.T.Y.C.L.B. come to mind" copies without air play on the radio and MTV. Those are the bands that will forever be remembered when the book is written.

Not -- Good Charlet, Evenescence, Sum 41, Linkin Park, Mud Vein, Puddle of Mudd, and damn they really have a lot of crap bands out right now... It's no big deal though, cause america and Canada on some of them bands have a whole lot of crap movies to go along with it.

Man, you tell it like it is. I can't say I like that, but I respect it. Evanescence, in my opinion, is really awesome and Amy Lee is really talented in her voice. But, obviously, we're all entitled to our own opinions.

Have you heard of A.F.I.?

I listen to Evanescence on television that's about as far as it goes, I wouldn't even waste the time illegally downloading there music, not that there bad just been there done that next

They have some good tunes but they become played out and turn annoying, I don't enjoy going into all that detail as Baltis does but he never lies

I don't think U2 is a very good band, at least this band I can stand to finish listening to 1 song, U2 have always been annoying for me at least but hey even the Los ketchup people have fans so it's a matter of each different persons likes and dislikes

Evanescence have a great lead singer (who's a hottie! ), however as a band, I think they should stop acting like what they are. They're a pop band controlled by the record company in order to get this image suitable for a target audience (I'm guessing 15 year old goths here). I respect Amy Lee as a fantastic lead singer, just that the band should go down the same image road to hell as The Rasmus, HIM and Good Charlotte... Oh and AFI, but they suck for much more than their image...

I say you should all try listening to lots of British music. I'm talking about bands like Muse, Supergrass, Ash, Placebo, Manic Street Preachers, Franz Ferdinand etc.. Now they're fantastic and original.  

Evanescence... well... I'm not really a fan. Amy Lee has a great voice but that's pretty much all the band has going for them. Musically, they're garbage.

Muse is an awesome band. I also happen to be a huge fan of AFI since I first heard their song "cruise control" and their cover of "last caress" by the misfits.

I don't know what annoys me more... Towser talking bad about AFI, or Everlasting Sorrow's screen name and the fact that he/she is also a fan of Evanescence. Sing the Sorrow is a great album, I just wish it didn't attract so many annoying fans (and haters, of course).
