Anyways why does this chick have a career? I don't get it, sure she's got a body to die for but that doesn't get across with me anymore. I see hot women all the time in which I can't have but still, if I want hot I'll look at porn online, I don't want it out of music.

Ashley has no talent, I'm starting to wonder if her voice on the cd is altered so much that that's not even her voice anymore, if so than shame on the music industry they've gone too far

At least bands like N Suck and BSB sang live, I didn't like them but at least they proved they had the voices

As someone who records and plays music, myself, I know a little thing or two about track mixing and vocal lay outs.

I'm not saying I'm the man with a golden voice or anything, but with the right EQ's and mic's and a little wonderment of a guy who knows what he's doing with a computer "not myself" you can sound pretty much anyway you want to.

I don't doubt you're onto something with her voice not being her voice... She's never sang live, that I know of anyways.  When she has to, something always comes up.  I wouldn't put it past some of these "pop princess" to have much aid in their vocal presentation, maybe so much that it isn't them at all.

I've been playing off and on in a few bands here and there awhile now and if its one thing I know, it's not a business I'd see anything in doing anything with.  It's not worth it, cause there is nothing you can play that can't be played and nothing you can say that hasn't been said before. --- Loose quote from John Lennon, but so true.

I agree, a lot of no talents don't though.

Thus, we have the market full of a bunch of Simpon's, Spear's, Sum 41's, Maroon 5's, Timberlake's and so many others... Some get it and some don't... they don't get it, but they're making millions on not getting it so they're better people than I will ever be... if at the end of the day the dollar matters.

Maroon 5 can sing live, so can Sum 41 not saying there good or anything but they can. Some bands sound horrible live, sometimes you just have to live with what you're given and others you kill them... literally

If I had to listen to much more of that Ashlee Simpson cd I might have gone brain dead and or got a migrane which one is forming a little now just thinking about it

Too me a less fake princess is more of an idol than Ashlee and the rest, Aria Giovanni isn't fake and poses nude all the time, she's not as fake and more of a princess than the rest who want to uphold a whore persona or a good girl virgin persona, if they looked like some of the beasts I know than I'd agree that there virgins but since they are sometimes illegally hot because there under 18 (Hillary Duff) I doubt they are virgins

If I looked like them and was a girl I'd be pregnant on my third child before 20, or at least sleeping with a whole football team but not them at least in front of the cameras

Someone once told me that the era of the singer/songwriter is dead.  I try not to believe him, but when I think of Ashlee Simpson, I cringe and remember 'the good 'ole days when musicians were actually musicians.  This thread depresses me.  How can I be 23 and long for the good 'ole days in music?  How can this happen?

All my favorite bands are at the end of there careers and some have been dead for years and I just recently started liking them

Pop music has taken over and given us way too much to handle, still I look at it like at least when Ashlee's career dies in about 3 months to a year from now we'll be able to see that hot body all over the internet and in magazines naked because she needs the cash

A working girl she will become, let's just hope she doesn't start dating a rich man.
