Reise, Reise on Amazon.com

Rammstein is back!   Rammstein, my favorite group second to absolutely none, have just released their fifth album (after three studio and one live). And, I've got to say, personally I think this is their best yet.

Track Listing:
1. Reise, Reise
2. Mein Teil
3. Dalai Lama
4. Keine Lust
5. Los
6. Amerika
7. Moskau
8. Morgenstern
9. Stein Um Stein
10. Ohne Dich
11. Amour

1. Reise, Reise - The title track, also one of the best. I'm not really good at describing songs, suffice to say this one has gotten a huge amount of play on my iPod. It's got almost a viking/RPG feel to it (it sounds weird, but if you listen to it it might make sense). Great stuff.

2. Mein Teil - Without doubt the heaviest song on the album, was previously released on the Resident Evil Apocalypse soundtrack (which, unlike the movie, was good). This one is a lot like the sort of stuff on Mutter, which I really liked.

3. Dalai Lama - Reminiscent of their older stuff on Sensucht and Herzeleid, real methodical and plodding. Decent track, but it can't compare to the others on the CD.

4. Keine Lust - A nice fast paced song, doesn't really slow down at any point. Though for some reason I just don't like it as much as some of the others, despite it being a good track.

5. Los - This is the only track I had a bit of a problem with. It just doesn't feel like it belongs on the CD. It just sort of goes and goes and never hits that peak that their other songs do, and it's a bit too soft even compared to some of their other stuff. This is my least favorite on the CD.

6. Amerika - Only their second song featuring English (their first being Stripped) and by far one of the best on the CD. Good beat to it, some of the best stuff from Schneider on the entire CD. This is one of the tracks to get the CD for.

7. Moskau -  The other reason to buy this CD. The counterpart to Amerika, really, only featuring Russian instead of English. Awesome beat, also some kick ass work from Schneider.

8. Morgenstern - A real operatic feel to this song. Play it loud is all I can say.

9. Stein Um Stein - Real melodic and calm for a while, then it hits and goes heavy for a bit, then reverts back to the molodic pace. Good song, really fits in with the rest of the CD.

10. Ohne Dich - Reminds me a lot of Klavier and Seeman off of their older albums. Really epic and dramatic feel to it, which I really like. One of my favorites without question.

11. Amour - Kick ass way to end the CD. This is the old Rammstein. Long build up, slowly works into it, then it hits and it doesn't stop until the end. Done of the other songs could have ended the CD, this was the perfect one I think.

So, overall I'd give this puppy **** out of ****. Los is the only song I didn't really like, but it's still a decent song. I really liked this one, and I know it probably wasn't as popular with a lot of people, but I think this is their best yet. It took a couple years, and it was more than worth the wait.
