Which 10 songs would you pick to sum up your life thus far and why? Just a bit of fun...Mine are in a particular order, makes it easier to choose -

1 -- Childhood favourite - Huey Lewis and the News - Power of Love - of course 'Back to the Future' is a childhood favourite of mine but this song just takes me back to it without a doubt. I remember singing a long to it all the time in front of the TV and rewinding the VCR over and over. Sighs. If only I was 10 again.

2 -- Teenage Angst - Soul Asylum/ Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody - Runaway Train - one of the songs which remind me of my days as a young adolescent. It was my moody, don't talk to me, get out of my room mum song. I just remember feeling so miserable to these songs but boy did Queen sound good when you turned the volume up loud at the end, lol!!

3 -- Teenage years - Bon Jovi - Livin on a Prayer/ Katrina and the Waves - Walking on Sunshine - Whenever I needed motivation to do something, these songs just helped get me started . A bit cheesy, but they're still sentimental just the same and still to this day get me dancing stoopidly around my living room...just hope no-one can see!

4 -- School - Luther Vandross + Janet Jackson - Best Things in Life are Free - my early teenage years at school - this song just reminds me of how innocent and naive I was as a young adult - This song just made me want to be the best person I could be without the pressure to perform for my family or school or anyone for that matter. Love the sentiment behind it and just wanted to be free from the stresses of study and from that feeling of being an outcast amongst friends.

5 -- First crush - Lionel Ritchie - You are my destiny - ROFLMAO!! My first crush on the news paperboy, lol!! How cute...or creepy I guess, lol! Man I used to swoon over him...I think he knew it too, how silly I was. Always looking out for him to deliver the mail and this song just got a little over played!!LOL!, how embarrassing. Never mind, I have no shame.

6 -- University years - Nirvana - Come as you are - yep, this really was my journey and transition from sensible pre uni Andy, to rebel Andy during uni...my parents hated me for 3 years, and I still get reminded how 'different' I was back then! LOL!! Ah well, you live and you learn and I learnt a lot from living away from home for 3 years, I highly recommend university for this experience alone, seriously!

7 -- First heartbreak - Guns 'n' Roses - Don't Damn Me/November Rain - My first heartbreak songs - Yep, the guy did a good number on my heart and well, thanks to the lovely Mr Axl Rose, these one helped pull me through - strange how songs can bring you out of the doom and gloom.

8 -- First Love - King Harvest - Dancing in the Moonlight + Ricky Martin's -  Private Emotion - Songs which still pull at my heartstrings whenever I hear them. Always will have a special place for them in my heart as they were 'our songs' for my ex and I.

9 -- Favourite soundtrack - Dave Grusin - Goonies score - I love this sound score, of course I would. I often listen to the CD and just lose myself in it. It's the most calming music I own and always reminds me that life is one big adventure and to just go on and live it! However those around me get most irritated by it... I wonder why?!

10 -- Current favourite song - Eminem - Mockingbird - Really just think the lyrics to this are so special - Not a constant fan of his but this song just reaches me. Love it!!

Does anyone else care to share some of their songs?

It would be filled with lots and lots of porno music and maybe some 70's jump beats from inner house card shufflers named Burt and or Mac.

----------------------------------
One day we'll set sail and see all the things they used to tell
One day we'll be us and never have to think back on trust
One day we'll think alike and breath for life
One day we'll make it, we'll make it one day we'll make it yes we will
One day we'll prove our mark and love deeper than a thousand lovers hearts who've sparked a spark
One day is too soon to tell but I know if you can buy it you can sell it and if you can sell it you can earn it.
---------------------------------

These are words I choose to keep with me... songs are great, but what you think and what you know will always prove you better than anyone else could or would ever give you credit for.

In addition number 1 ->> I forgot to say I never had a radio till I was 12/13, so I used to listen to my dad's Elvis Presley records, so anything Elvis would also remind me of my childhood, as I loved putting a record on. Made me feel like a DJ,lol!

Also anything by Kylie and Rick Astley too!   I remember spinning and dancing and singing along to the words on the back of the records!
