Okay so I started listening to this band because I liked a few other bands and this band just happened to be in the same category and they tour together and stuff.

Death Metal some may call it, the lead singer is a woman... Listen to the music, I honestly didn't know it was a she until I seen a picture of her. She sings/yells like a guy and that's weird but hey she's cute so I forgive her manly voice.

And this group is the first of this genre to be fronted by a woman vocalist which I give them props for as it's not easy being green.

Anyways the music is why we're here and I can only say two things. 1. Great guitars make the sound unique. 2. Angela the female singer is a special talent in the death metal genre where everybody sounds the same.

Soilwork, Ill Nino, Children of Bodom and Arch Enemy are all new groups I've come to enjoy as I expand my musical horizons.

I love Arch Enemy. I've had a few opportunities to see them live but unfortunatel circumstances beyond my control forced me to pass them up.

If you like Soilwork and Children Of Bodom as well, I'd also recommend In Flames, At The Gates, and Dark Tranquility. With the acception of COB, all these bands are sometimes referred to as Gothenberg melodic death metal as they all originate from Gothenberg, Sweden, and share a distinct sound.

Weird but I also like In Flames, I purchased a live DVD and yeah they are mostly from Sweden and here's how I came to discover them all.

I do random searches on a site I like to use and it says if you like this band here's another so basically I went from Ill Nino to In Flames to Soilwork to Arch Enemy to Children of Bodom and so on down the list.

Seriously I just picked up and listened to them on a whim and none of them sucked.

I did it again recently and had a lot less success as Blind Guardian, Dream Theatre and Porcupine Tree aren't very good, in fact most songs on the one CD is just an instrumental.

Good music is always referred; television music is for the most part garbage. It’s all mainstream and half the bands I mentioned and you did probably have had less publicity in Canada/America than say 50 Cent alone.

I’m going to check the tour dates and see if they are ever coming up this way though I doubt it as they want to get big in America and well Canada isn’t a place you want to tour when you’re not already famous.
