A few Sat'days back i was working a 7 hour shift, which can be extremely tedious. Not because of the work, but because i have to listen to the crappy radio station they play over the store speaker. This time it was different though because the Love album was just being released and they were playing it all day to promote it.

I was very happy and rarin' to buy the album.

I bought it a few days ago and i'm pretty impressed by what George Martin and his son pulled off. There were a few crappy bits (like taking the music out of because?) but overall it was great.

The most genius thing was the Tomorrow Never Knows drumbeat playing over With in you, Without you. Sounded great. They've mixed and matched certain snippets of songs together, most worked, some didnt.

Also the transition between each song is AWESOME. One moment i'm listen to Come Together, then it gently switches from Dear Prudence, THEN to Cry Baby Cry. Another example, Benefit for Mr Kite, I Want You (She's so Heavy) and.... Helter Skelter, i cant recollect hearing Helter Skelter though.

The tracks are remastered too, something the Beatles haven't bothered to do with their other albums (discluding Yellow Submarine), i think.

This album is a reflection to all their greats. It's a frankenstein monster, in a good way. With 26 tracks its a pretty wholesome album. I'd give it a rating of four stars out of five.
