You Danish guys are weird!  Are you sure that 'she' is a she?!!!   It doesn't matter that she'd be a granny now Snipe; it's not like you're 18 still!   ["Damn right!", adds bert...]

Catchy tune but.

Stevie, that ain't no he-she-dude-in-disguise-guy. She's a woman alright. Her real name is Daisy Castro.

I am very sober - for some unknown reason.

Pia, if you're not down with Rock Steady Crew, well, then you're just not down with life. Don't forget, Pia, their moves are, like, true. Can you do what they do?

A fun if impossible question as mine (like most) changes all the time. So much great music out there.

Currently its "All the World is Green" by Tom Waits

Anybody who digs the song should check out his Letterman performance on youtube.

I usually stay way the hell clear of rap and hip-hop unless it's some of the old school shit but this track by Ice Cube is one of those rare times where the story telling is simply superb. Split up in a 3-act structure, this track tells the story of the rise and fall of a gang banger.

Life....
niggas used to come and get me
when it was time to disagree with an enemy
pass the hennessy it gives me energy
packed the gat in the small of my back
where these niggas at I clear the whole pack
talkin' shit cuz I'm down for my set I'm a vet
smokin' on a wet cigarette
(who these niggas think they are)
(wishin' on a ghetto star i represent my tar)
I start bustin' and they scatter like water bugs
cuz these westside niggas is harder thugs
enslve us but nothin' can save us from sportin' Ben Davis
shootin' at your neighbors
(cuz sometimes I feel like a nut don't give a fuck when I open ya up)
hot rocks fly from the back seat and
busta ass niggas run like a track meet
an if you crawl in the middle bleed mo' than a little (what)
killer king is the hospital
feelin' numb from the bullets I hum
and when they hit black mothers have fits I don't give a shit

Fool I'm a vet you can bet that
I could dance underwater and not get wet (check it)

Its rainin' bullets and I'm still there
(Foe life) I'm still there

my house shoes get wet from the dew on the grass
up early in the morning takin' out the trash
feelin' like a loser alcohol abuser
two youngsters roll up on a beach cruiser
one on the peddles the other on the handle bars (what)
tryin' be ghetto stars they said:
Are you from the westside is it so?
i said hell yea and who wanta to know (me)
in slow mo fo' fo' slugs face down in the mud
puddle full of blood left for dead
the pain starts to spread now I can't feel my legs
I meet doctor who at King Drew medical center
as I enter I.C.U.
he said the bullet hit a nerve that was vital
I said I can't move my legs he said don't try to
now this ain't the end my friend but you'll probably never walk again
I sit there motionless holdin' this pain inside contemplating suicide
at night I jerk and jerk
but my dick don't work it don't even hurt (damn)
now who'd ever thought a nigga rude as Ice Cube
I be pissin' through a tube Fool i'm a vet

Fool I'm a vet you can bet that
I could dance underwater and not get wet (check it)

Its rainin' bullets and I'm still there
young ghetto nigga in a wheelchair

fuck a V-A they need G-A
gang hospital for a crippal now I'm drinkin' rippal
same corner same hood I'm still there
with bandanas tied to my wheel chair
To all the hoodrat hoes I'm fired
they mad cuz my tongue get tired
now everybody wanna put they dope on me
sayin' I won't get searched by the LAPD
I'm sitting on a doorway duece five
Dependin on that to keep my ass alive
I don't got bows but my arm's about a one-six
My fuckin legs, lookin like tooth picks
some times I can't deal got to beg the B G's to roll me up the hill
put me on the porch now I'm on the torch smokin' cocaine
just to maintain nutin' to gain nutin' to lose
and last night I couldn't make it to the bathroom
feelin' like a two year old you can't get a sip from the brew I hold
nigga its the only friend to a stranger AKA hadicap gangbanger
there's a lot in my life I regret becomin' a ghetto vet
Fool I'm a Vet

Fool I'm a vet you can bet that
I could dance underwater and not get wet (check it)

Its rainin' bullets and I'm still there
young ghetto nigga in a wheelchair

While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles

Not the most well know Beatles song but definitely my favorite.

"The Little Drummer Boy" is by far my favorite song ever!

There are a lot of good versions, so its hard for me to pick my favorite one.

I play that dang song all year long!

Kenneth Abbott Jr.

One of a very small group of people that actually saw Kevin Costner's "The Postman" in theaters,
and I LOVED it!

As is the case with my writing, I'm ALL over the place with music, bosa nova to grunge, metal to pop, techno to R&B.

In no particular order:

NIN--closer
Portishead--Glory Box
Sarah McLauchlan--Silence (airscape remix)
David Morales--In de Ghetto
Alice in Chains--Man in the Box
Living COlour--cult of personality
Zeppelin--Babe I'm gonna Leave you/The Ocean
Nirvana--Lithium
Faithless--insomnia (armand's euro trip remix)
Micahel Jackson--Remember the Time/Keep it in the Closet
Prince--Darling Nikki/Take me with you/Erotic City
Spinners--I'll be Around
Chic--Le Freak/Dance Dance Dance
France Joli--come to me
Notorious BIG--Big Poppa/One More CHance/Hypnotize
WHoodini--Friends/Five minutes/Freaks come out at night
Green Day--WHen I come around/September
Art of noise--moments in love
U2--Beautiful Day
Glenn Miller--Moonlight Serenade
Brian Setzer--sleepwalk
Various--noche de ronda
Various--perfidia
Perez Prado--cherry pink and apple blossom white
Sergio Mendes--mais que nada/agaua de beber
Toco--gaurapiranga
Sissy--start again
AC/DC--jailbreak
Metallica--Enter sandman

Too many more to mention. But I'm a scatterbrain with music and hop from genre to genre. I'm not the one my friends ask to make a CD mix of tunes for a party--I always piss off or bore too many.

Putting a favorite list together, off-hand, is a challenge. Virtually every song I like, I got from a movie. I'm not much of a music fan so I take music from movie scenes and it has a Skinner-like effect on me.

Anyway, I'll open up Music Hell and set it to randomize. The first fifteen songs will be my top 15. It's all the luck of the draw. =)

Bon Jovi - Bad Medicine.
Orgy - Blue Monday (90s remake).
Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth.
Eminem - Sing For the Moment.
Hurdy Gurdy Man - Donovan.
The Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star.
Linkin Park - In the End.
Franz Ferdinand - This Fire.
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son.
Papa Roach - Not Listening.
Morphine - You Look Like Rain.
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit.
Richie Valens - Come on, Let's Go.
The Beach Boys - God Only Knows.
Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield.
