We're in great need of a new OWC.  A standard OWC, with a good theme that everyone will want to partake in.

I can't even remember when the last official normal OWC was.  IMO, we're way overdue.

There seems to be an influx of new SS members and an OWC is the perfect way to get involved and get feedback on a new script.

It's been hot as shit here, in AZ, and I need an outlet, other than my normal ones, which aren't all that healthy anyways.

Let's see a show of support and interest and see if we can get something going here in these dog days of Summer.

I agree. I had some new writers lined up to give the last one a shot, but they didn't want to do a feature. I'm not knocking the 7WC, I understand the value of that. I do think the OWC is a great way to build the site, though. I'm in the middle of a feature, but I'll throw my hat in the ring if I can.

Why not have Jeff in charge? It might take some pressure off one of the Mods that would have to take time away from their lives to set one up. Showing some initiative might very well be seen in a positive light. I'll still be on the fence until I see a genre and topic, however. But, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in seeing another OWC. =)

OK, as I was saying, this will be fun and I hope you guys and especially The Don likes my idea.  It'll be both simple in its opendedness, yet challenging in its parameters.  A little research may be required for some, and appreciated by all.

Yeah, will be good to do some writing again. The family have been away for the last 2 weeks, so I've been watching the first 3 seasons of the Shield, and playing online games like LOTRO and Fallen Earth.

Whilst I don't really do horror, I feel it would be a fitting genre for this challenge bearing in mind the newly appointed mod for this OWC. With one eye on trying to get something produced a lowish budget theme is also handy.

Ok, I'll go for a sports theme killer (gosh, where did I get that inspiration from?)

Crisis at Jagermeister - Rom Com/Horror

When the world supply of star anise, is ravaged by a new breed of spice crazed Zombie, an elite Jagermeister connoisseur must recruit a tribe of scantily clad Amazonian beauties to defeat the mindless horde.

Contains strong language, product placement and gratuitous nudity.

There must be a cameraman and dogs with arrows up their anus. Also, all scripts will be named "ass in the moonlight" and must feature this line somewhere, both in dialogue and action.

Being serious though, I doubt it will be set in the past few decades.

Time period will most likely be July 2013.

I like the Amazonian beauties, but I didn't think of that.

I cannot reveal any details except it's very open ended, will require research for some, and be difficult with the elements we have to work with.  Attention to detail will be very important.

I predict each entry will be unique, as there are choices to make and each will choose different things.
