Stevie even came arrived in his little shorts.

No, the original shorts were confiscated by U.S. Homeland Security.  Something about a danger to the psyche of the American public.

I'm in denim short lockdown for the G20 in Brisbane this week. US Marines are making sure I don't get within 75 kms of Obama.

Just chiming in... and not about that orgy.

I've just submitted the rankings / considerations. A lot of strong stuff this OWC. I weighted my considerations and such with challenge parameters in mind... along with rewrite possibilities.

There was just 1 for me that totally missed the mark. Chalk that up to just me not getting the humour, not indicative of writing capability.

I'm more a fan of concept and (for the genre) atmosphere. If you look at my reviews and ratings they should reflect that. I've completed all reviews. If you're missing mine it'll be up tomorrow afternoon after voting closes. I just didn't wanna fake review my own short, so I purposely didn't post all of them. That said...

2 recommends, and a whopping 12 considers.

Good work everyone. As always, I for one, had a blast...

12 considers?  Really?

Wow...guess lots of peeps will be craqving more of your reviews, bro.  Really?

So, 14 of 36 or so 1 week scripts, many by first time writers, get a consider or better?  Damn, almost 50%!  Wow...sorry, but that it is rather redonkulous, if you ask this kid.

IMO, you're blowing alot of shit up the asses of peeps who'd rather hear the reality of their writing.

I noticed in voting email that considered scripts would include those that were entertaining even if all parameters weren't a 100% successful in this regard.

Henry, I know, eh...

So, greetings, Dreamscale, you haved provoked a reaction. No worries. This reple is just more for others, I suppose...

If you look to my reviews I feel you can get understanding on my opinions. Most of those considers were rated 2.5 out of 5. So consider that, as well, if you will.

My highest rating given was a 4. So not a lot of high-grade smoke. Hehehe.

In my defence, only three 3.5s, if I remember correctly.  Perhaps, 2 recommends, and 3 considers would have the opposite effect. That said, I chose to interpret consider to include what could be done upon further revisions.

I hope I do get requests for reviews actually. Heh, Dreamscale, I hope mine was satisfactory.  I enjoy the process as it also allows me to reflect on my own writing. I consider the effect of primarily negative criticism. And I enjoy giving constructive criticism and possible suggestions to the writer. Even if it's more of a poor script, I always finish the read,  in the hopes that others would afford me the same gratitude.

As far as blowing smoke up asses... man, I wasn't even at that orgy... um, you get me...

jestfully yours
Dan

These are the directions Don gave:

Please rate the scripts as either Pass, Consider, Recommend.
"Pass" - Didn't like it, didn't fit the theme or genre.
"Consider" - Liked the script, but it didn't fit the theme/genre or fit the theme/genre and with a little work, could be a 'Recommend'
"Recommend" pretty much fit the theme/genre and I really liked the script.

By the way, Skippy (Ren) quite a few of us read them all. Having said that I wasn't quite as liberal as Daniel with my voting.

And who knows, Don may still be putting out a call for 'readers choice' top 3. I think that's what happened last time.
