Seriously, I'm thinking about remaking Cherry Bomb and just giving it an ending. Unsure, though.

Perfect theme and topic. I'm actually working on a feature with modern witches, so this should be fun!

I thought Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil was a lot of fun. Definitely not horror, but a lot of fun. Anyone looking for some good horror, I just checked out Dead & Buried again, from 1981...it's still awesome.

Favourite modern witch and warlock movies, everyone? I gotta give shout-outs to Suspiria, and, of course, Warlock (too obvious?).

Cool, easy enough. I'll be in.

Tucker and Dale was awesome. Very funny and creative. Original. IMO.

A lot of horror is cheesy. By adding humor like Tucker and Dale does, it makes cheese acceptable.

I'm going to write one about three witches who all sleep with the Devil and turn the tables on him in the end.  I'll call it, The Witches of Westwick.

Or maybe a story about a teenage witch, and she has a talking cat and she lives with her two aunts who are also witches.  I'll call it, Sabrina the Teenage Girl Who Knows Magic and Stuff.

I got it!  It's a story about a witch who forsakes her powers so she can marry a mortal man and live a normal life, but her family doesn't approve of the mixed marriage and constantly meddles in their affairs.  It'll be called, Bedazzler.

Ingenious, I know.

Question. I get the modern thing but can there be a flashback? Like if there is a history of witches at a location or showing how a character became a witch?

Thankfully this stops me doing a comedy. Bad bill! put that Comedy idea down.

It reminds me of the OWC competition when we did the first ten of a feature, the theme being witches in the 20/21st century.

I may also set myself the challenge of low budget as I like the chance these could be filmed....one day.

Now, what would you call a Transgender witch/warlock? Witchlock? Waritch ( war itch - sounds unpleasant)

My scripts  HERE

The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville
Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final
Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards.  Third - Honolulu
Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place

I really enjoyed Dead and Buried despite its flaws too.

I'm hoping to write something for this but my wife may have something to say if the baby drops lol.  So, I wont be committing to it but hopefully I'll get something down.  No idea what to write yet though...

Just got back from my vacation, jetlagged and starting a new job on Monday. I'll see if anything pops into my head for this but I do hate horror these days, the movies they come out with are so dull and repetative. The last one I watched that I really enjoyed was Cabin in the Woods and that wasn't pure horror as such but I loved it.

Hopefully I'll get some time to write this between all four of my Thanksgiving dinners!

How many pissers will we see in general?  Hopefully, none.

My idea is prtty simple = Shawn meets a warlock, they fall in love, and the warlock makes Shawn the first manchild to bare children.  Shawn gets pregnant from his love tryst, but everyone in his life, including his wife, doesn't realize he's preganant because his belly and arse are already so rotund, it's impossible to tell he's actually carrying a jean short wearing baby Aussie, who he'll later name Lil' Stevie.  The end.

I knew love existed somewhere in this world.  Haha.

The parameters of this OWC are pretty broad so I'm interested to see what people come up with.  I'm definitely gonna give this one a shot.

As soon as I saw this topic I was reminded of the new Rob Zombie flick, the Lords of Salem and I wondered if that was any inspiration for the topic.

I haven't seen the movie though.
