What good are choices if they're all bad?

I’m looking at the criteria we’re left with and thinking there’s still a theme to be incorporated and I really don’t think I will be able to do that. I mean the genres that are left are already a problem. Don’t want to say I’m out now but I’ll probably will be.

It also takes a lot of time to write then review and I’m beat. I’m also translating someone’s screenplay right now and it’s screenplays all around. I’m screenplay struck,

Hey Kham, I thought you were at a machine learning camp. The curriculum must have changed a lot if they’re wall-to-wall screenplays now

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

Additional scripts are listed here.

That was for a week and will resume in September for a total of 4 months for me. Hopefully. I'm totally not against it after all this screenplay business. And I thought that thing was the hardest.

Kham, don’t sweat on the theme. If you’re bogged down, start writing now. I’ve written one of the scripts already and am halfway through the other. If the themes happen to fit (which happened by chance for my Rd 3 one) then great. If the themes don’t fit, I’m still posting them as the opportunity to create 2 really good scripts is too good.

I haven’t marked down any based on the themes (most peeps haven’t I think) only if the shoehorning has been too convenient, and if the genre has been fiddled with.

I’ll try some staring at the criteria tomorrow.
I’m not out for now, just thinking it’s going that way.

Wow! That's gotta take some talent. Well done, you!
...

Anyway... Read and commented on all and my votes are in.
Looking forward to groaning about the next theme.

P.S. Bit of a ghost town around here at the moment.

Voted!

I have some good/bad news. Good because I've got a job and start on Monday. I've been out of work since April and living off meagre handouts from the government and savings. Bad because I've been writing every day and produced so much content. I've loved it and wish I could work full time professionally as a writer, but writing doesn't pay. Well, not enough for me to live off anyway. I'm back to writing on weekends

I'm not out of the tournament or making any excuses. All I'm saying is I will endeavour to read/review all scripts, it will just take me longer to get through them from now on. Just two weeks to go, I'm sure I'll manage!

I'm struggling with the grading this round... there are scripts that have clearly made no attempt to address the theme, and where the genre is also suspect.

So with a limited 1-5 system which is what we have here... a 2.6 or 3.6 is rounded up to a 3 or 4. But then a 2.4 and a 3.4 is a 2 and a 3....
