What sup bro.  I'm the guy that emailed you.  I am putting something on here in hope to get others to take a second out there day to read piece.  It seems the crowd on this site is not a fan of fanfiction.

So I know when I post my fanfiction it won't get a read, lol.  Either way it won't stop me from moving forward.  It shouldn't stop you either.  Keep writing bro.

Nothing to doing with being a fan or not. As a spec writer, you will, in all likely hood never get this made.

Fan scripts, are, in general, poorly written, as the author hasn't taken the time to read scripts, learn about basic structure, format, character development etc. There may be the odd exception, mainly in the hands of someone who is an experienced writer first and fan second.

Even in the case of the exceptions, if there are any, as you don't own the rights, you'll never be able to shop it or sell it. Studios decide what directions they want to take a franchise and have access to many established industry pros to write their script.

Fan fiction writers need to learn that. Dropping off poorly formatted material for review and feedback, on a scriptwriting website, expecting to hear glorious applause because it is fan based, just isn't going to work.

It's the writing that is judged here . . .

That's why most people avoid them like the plague.

If you want to use them as a writing exercise, by all means, but the normal writing standards still apply.

I understand the reasons for avoiding fan scripts, but I tend to at least gloss over fan scripts; it's how I began writing scripts, and I did use 'em as a writing exercise as I learned...

But...I don't see the point in critiquing them much, and there's not much advice I can offer (although sometimes I do stray from that and offer thoughts on it).

So I read this script.  There are some problems, technically-and-grammatically speaking that I won't get into.  But to it's author, all I can say is keep on writing; we learn by reading and practicing

Good luck in your future writing endeavors.

Even though this script will be NEVER,  EVER,  produced.  All respect to writer for enthusiasm and faith in his obsession for coming.  And  it's pretty good practice too.  Keep it on.
