Yeah, I just noticed that too. It's new. To get a reputation other members have to go to your profile and give a + or - to increase or decrease your rep. I'm curious to see how this new feature works out.

I thought that feature would be useful.  You can't affect your own reputation.  And, you can only increase by one increment or decrease by one increment someone else's reputation.  One individual can not decrease or increase another's reputation by more than one increment ever.  It might be useful.

It sort of can be abused.   If you get one vote positive, it raises your rep to 100%.  However, if the second vote is negative, it decreases your vote to 50%.  A positive vote after that will only bring you up to 75%.  So, in other words, the more people vote for or against you, the smaller the incremental increase or decrease.  So, if and individual has no votes and someone votes them down, they go to zero% if they are voted up, they go to 100%.  However, the second vote or third vote will not have as much impact.

However, don't get too obsessed with your reputation.  I've seen boards that have been using this for quite some time.  Even the moderator of the board has a reputation of only 80%...

Oh, I see. I wouldn't consider that abuse, though. It's just that as more votes are cast, each vote represents a smaller percentage of the whole. Dig?

Thank you to whoever voted for me!

I think this idea is good, because it tells new members who to be friends with and who to stay away from.  Only good can come from this.

I think it's awesome.  So do we just all start out at a hundred percent by default or something?

Somebody has to vote for you at least once to get 100%, otherwise you just have N/A in your profile.

Well I went down to 50% (Thanks to whoever). Didn't think I pissed anyone off actually, I only help out.

Is there any way to turn this off? Because frankly I dont want people not reading my scripts or reviews because some loner gave me a bad score.

That's one way to look at it.

And it seems someone lightened the burden.
