I know this is a weird question, but how many people on here did you have at once? Just curious if any of you know 'cause I just saw that about 30 were on at the same time a few minutes ago.
He's the guy who started the "I need a title" thread in the WIP board. Goes by XoKev or something right now. This subject has been beaten to death a couple of times before. I know it was a pretty big number whatever it was.
It was due to a thread that is gone now called The A-List. This has been mentioned at least once recently. The series was pretty decent considering he was 13 when he wrote it. The notoriety came when he and another "person" called Stifler started having back and forth conversations about the series and Stifler kept egging him on about "huge twists" and such. Well, Kevin was just bouncing the conversation abck and forth like mad, and we finally figured out that Stifler was a "sock-puppet" of Kevin, and Kevin had created this second ID to pump up the posts on his thread and show some conversation and hype on his series. Most of us backed off and deleted our posts from the thread, having been insulted by this little game. Kevin has disappeared into obscurity for the most part (although he is still a members of the board), but we'll never forget that notorious thread thanks to its immortalization in SimplyNoir.
You can still read of his: The Clique, Seventeen, and A Very Bad Movie. There you go, Kev, a little plug for you.
The 'official' record is 30 people at once. A couple of years ago it topped out at 52 people on the boards at one time, however that was seven board upgrades ago. I nicked out that record since I strongly suspect that the 52 'people' included search engine robots scanning the boards. Now that the board has been upgraded, the 'record' for number of people on the boards at one time now only reflects actual humans typing on keyboards rather than humans, search engine robots and spammer robots trying to pick up email addresses. (note, don't ever post your email address in the body of a post unless you want a lot of unwanted email. I've modified the discussion board such that you have to be a registered user to 'see' another users email address. )
