It's definitely a weird contract and would not hold up in any court. I've mentioned before, my option agreement was a 13 page long legal document. Cindy's purchase agreement is a 1 page word document. I'm no legal aid, but it definitely looks suspicious.
What I haven't figured out is why the bother?
Although, I could be out in left field and it's an honest purchase agreement.
Cindy's contract is NOT on the level. It doesn't say when she would receive the money, or by whom. It used the comic sans MS font, and different colors to show highlights. This screams unprofessional for a legal contract.
Well, it's not any of the people Greg has spoken with.
The person who sent me the too vague of a contract for me to sign was Brian Stott. Now maybe he is on the up and up... I don't know. Maybe he just started making movies, that's why the contract is not direct and to the point of spelling everything out the way that a contract should. I'd like to believe this, I really would, but I just don't know what to think. He seemed nice enough through e-mails, but niceness alone won't get my signature on this contract. The contract also states that once I agree to all the conditions and I feel comfortable, then I can sign.
