I've noticed recently that there have been an increasing number of tiny little responses, many of which have absolutely nothing to do with anything.
For example, there will be a discussion going on and then it'll just start to ramble with one word responses which then sometimes turn to nothing more than a smiley face.
I'm not singling the moderators out because I think you folks are doing a great job, but I'm rather just bringing this little thing up so we can ensure quality replies to everything on here. I mean once in a while everyone posts a little statement or something, fine, but it's become a much bigger problem over the past 2 weeks or so and it's annoying to go through beefed up threads with A-List like responses.
So if you are one of those chronic one-word poster people, I'm not trying to be an ass, but try to work on your post quality and check out Don's rules, that way I don't have come out like this and look a complete ass
Wait, so what if it's three smiley faces? Technically thats like three words which is more than one or two. And what about all those lovely signatures? They contain vital information that is more than a few words long, so what about that, huh, Greg? Huh, Don Huh? Huh?
I kid. Litlle posts are annoying and I'm sure I've been guilty, but try to shy away from it, and recommend the rest of you do the same.
I'm guilty as charged. I know I've posted some one liners since I joined here a few weeks back. Like I'll say something like "Really"... Or "I'll post your review tomorrow." Those are pointless...
Haha, but I do a good job of trying to prevent myself from doing these kinds of posts.
Great job funny-man. You pulled the obvious joke everyone was thinking; but had the decency not to pull. For this, I grant you the greatest e-award known to man, the famous e-cookie:
Who's that? I suppose If this "higgonator" you speak of ever randomly comes to this page and sees your photo, he might be slightly offended. As for me, "higgonaitor", I'm doing fine.
Aw...now I'm all disappointed. I thought this thread might be about our favorite breakfast cereals....
It's a joke, guys -- don't even think about it -- you'll give poor Phil a stroke --
I've seen a bunch of these kinda' posts lately, too. Deletions seem kind of heavy-handed, but maybe if I start seeing a whole bunch from the same person I might start taking them down.

This site is being flooded with non-scriptwriting threads. It's getting to the point where I'd like to smack some of the posters. I've asked Don about doing a lockdown; I'm going to have to ask again.
My side of this debate is that I think we should have a number of non-scriptwriting threads. It wouldn't be as fun, and we wouldn't get to know each other as well. I like how it is despite those annoying posts which can be avoided easily.
Don't worry, that's just Orville Reddenbacher without his glasses.
And thanks for the cookie. I thought it was a wonderful two word post myself, that expressed the irritation some of us feel when we actually take the time to write a thought out post and get two words in response. I guess somebody else didn't think so. Although I do agree that I have no sense of decency. I'm what some might describe as "lacking in moral fiber".
I think if we all took some time to read and review some scripts, those threads would eventually overtake the non-screenwriting ones, thus causing no need for a lockdown.
Let's go vigilante and knock 'em out. I have my thread killer and stop this thread images ready to go, and I await your replies.
