I know this is none of my business, but im just wondering, how much did u get for the feature script
While I don't want to give out the exact amount. I got *,*** for the initial option. They would have control of my script for a year with the option to renew it for another year after that in order to get it off the ground. If they wanted to renew the option then they must pay me another *,***.
If my script goes into production, no matter how much it ends up making, I would get ***,***.
Since I am a newcomer the numbers are a little low, as opposed to writers who have been in the business for years. But, considering this is fan fiction I wrote for fun back in high school, I'll take payment if someone would rather have it.
Could you give us a hint as to what the big script is?

I do remember Jonathan writing a superhero fan-fic some time ago, but I'll refrain fom dropping the name in case it might be a faux pas.
Anyway, congrats. That many asterisks sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
Yeah, Mike, I think you have it figured out.
For all that want to know, it was actually a Green Lantern script. One thing that drew the producer to this piece was the fact that Green Lantern is one of DC Comics biggest franchises, yet he hasn't had as much as a single cartoon or movie to himself. He also liked the fact that I did away with a lot of super hero move quirks. I wrote my script with no super villain and no damsel in distress. Not something you see in a normal super hero script.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed. There is talks of a Justice League movie, which would feature Green Lantern. That might make my script impossible to get off the ground, since mine is an origin story.
That sounds like a script I read and reviewed a long time ago. I don’t know if it’s the same one. I spoke to one of the authors a long time ago but it had two authors.
One of the reasons I read it was because there’s never been any movie about the Green Lantern before. I’ve always been surprised by that.
Well the person who optioned it wouldn't have spent that much money on it if he/she doesn't have the right connections to get the rights to film an official GREEN LANTERN movie. So I'd advise you to not fill these boards with spoilers. Congrats, man.
While Green Lantern is still in limbo, my other film "All or Nothing" (now named "Mr. Pennington") is well over half way completed. The director put together this little teaser to show me how it's coming along. I know it isn't much, but just seeing some of my work on screen makes me all giddy.
