How would you write an easter egg into the story without making the reader think the easter egg plays too big a part?

I'm guessing it's about easter eggs as in hidden bonus material or special features but I have no idea how that applies to a screenplay. If it's not important it shouldn't be there.

When I first saw the title I presumed it was talking about the easter eggs you'd find on DVD's but I could see no possible relation to a script so I figured he must have meant it literally.
If he didn't then I can only presume the script would have to be in electronic form and you would have a hidden link in the word. Very strnage though and you wouldn't need to disguise it.

It could also mean a reference to something else but he did not want the reference to feel like a big part of the story.
