Hello all,

I joined this forum about two weeks ago and have posted several reviews of other people's scripts.

Now my question is the following: since I haven't written any scripts myself yet, is it considered to be 'faux pas' if I review or offer critique on other people's scripts?

I can imagine that my reviews don't hold too much authority since I am no experienced scriptwriter, but I do hope that they might possibly help the author out.

On a side note: I am currently working on three scripts. Two of them being shorts and the other one a feature length. Seeing that "The Screenwriter's Bible" arrived in the mail earlier today, I am hoping to make some nice progress.

No way, Cheese.  Not even a little.  It's the reason we are here in the first place.

The only "faux pas" is to read something and NOT drop the author a comment

(Well, that or leaving idiotic comments -- but you ain't one of those....)

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

You don't even have to be a writer per se to leave a review. Just focus on the story, I mean you as a person know if something is working or not regardless of writing.

Just review things the way you want to and if some don't take those comments don't read anything by that person and just go on to other people's work that appreciate your time and comments.
