So my first thread was deleted, but now it's more than past the cut off and I think it deserves to be mentioned...
What's going on with posting the unproduced scripts? New ones haven't been posted in like two weeks, and the one I submitted last Monday night is still nowhere to be found. It's been more than 10 days, what's up? I'd just like to know when I can expect to see the thing posted, as feedback from fellow writers would be a major help, and the sooner I can get any, the better. I'd just like a heads up, and I'll be on my way... |

It's not an automatic posting. Our gracious webmaster, Don, is in charge of it. It's also Thanksgiving, which means he's probably still spending him with his family. |

Buddy, you're not paying Don to do this. The fact that he runs this site and hosts our scripts is FAVOUR to us. You should recognize that. Some times it takes a little longer. That's just how it is.
You started your first thread complaining before the suggested "deadline" was even up. Now, seriously, have a little patience. My first short took 12 days as well. |

I recognize its a nice gesture, I'm just asking why promise ten days or less when you don't think you can get them posted within that time? |

I've seen him promise it numerous times to others when they ask, so I take it that's the general mantra: ten days or less. Also, after submitting it I was told when my browser refreshed that new scripts are generally posted within ten days of being submitted. |

This is a big Holiday weekend. Maybe he went somewhere... If he did, I hope he's having a great time and the last thing on his mind is this website. |

Miles, I've got a simple solution.
1. Find another site that INSTANTLY posts unproduced scripts for free and offers a well-maintained forum where you can receive not only views from industry professionals but feedback from talented amateur writers.
2. Post your script there instead.
3. Uncork the champagne, your script is up! |

This is news to me that Don goes around and promises people a "Ten Days or less" guarantee? What it does say in the FAQ is that it can take up to ten days to get a script up. This is not a promise and it's not a guarantee. It's a rule of thumb. So seriously, if it's that big a deal for you, Heretic gave you sound advice. |

Generally is correct. They are generally posted within ten days - sometimes it's takes a bit longer. Generally doesn't mean always. Don will post your script soon. So just lie back and relax and enjoy this unexpected break in your schedule. Soon enough you'll have feedback and you'll be cranking out rewrites. |

Until your script is posted, why not review some other people's work?

Phil had an excellent suggestion. Use this unexpected free time to review other people's scripts. Not only will it teach you a great deal about screenwriting, it will also encourage those people to give you feedback on your script once it is uploaded. I'm sure everyone would love to get your opinion on their latest work, just like you would love to have theirs. |

Miles, My apologies for my lateness. The day job and family took over the past couple of weeks. You are entirely correct, the intent is that any script submitted is either posted or responded to within ten days and I have, for the first time in 9 years of doing this, failed in meeting the expectation that I set for myself and for the site. Thanks to everyone to came to my defense, however the fact remains, regardless of whether I get paid to do this or not, if I say I'm going to do something (like get a script up within ten days) it is incumbent upon me to meet that expectation. It was probably I who deleted the post because you can look and see numerous other "Why isn't my script posted?" threads. I figure why should so many people ask the same question when READING the others will give you an answer that doesn't make you look like an ass. (Don has a pm and an e mail as well that wouldn't cause a ruckus to use.)
Too many people join these forums with hope of a big break but can't even format or wait until they've finished a draft that isn't going to be torn apart based upon format and spelling.
If you can't format or spell go to Conflict Scripts, they're slow and have a poorly run forum... |

That wasn't hostile. You said that you read numerous posts about this very topic and started it anyway. Usually when you see numerous topics, you don't start another one.

Well, the thing is that I read old posts where Don or others had held to the "10 days or less" motto, so close to/after 10 days I figured it was worth at least mentioning. I wasn't trying to step on anybody's toes, I just wanted to see what was up. |

Don is now back from vacation (as am I) and all is right with the world.
This thread has run its course.
Now go read some scripts. |
