Hi Don. I checked out the link to this before. I was intrigued by finding out there was another planned -but never made - version of The Stand, one of my fave books.

I thought the 1994 mini series was pretty good, though some of the casting was odd.
Randy Flagg is meant to be a black dude to me, yet the guy playing him looked like some refugee from Days of our Lives.
I'll have to read the whole of Romero's script.

While on the subject of Stephen King, there is  still a place for a new script for 'It'. The movie that came out whenever (Tim Curry as Pennywise) was pretty ordinary.
With special effects they have now, surely someone could do a quality miniseries.
