Ok so this year I'm hoping to finish a feature I've been working for a while and also complete another one that I have a treatment for.  I haven't read many shorts so far this year but have read over a few features, so I'm thinking I'll offer my services to anyone who wants a read and review of their feature.  There's a large stock of shorts submitted every week and they all get some coverage but some features, even by regulars, slip under the radar, so I'll try and give them a read.  Work commitments mean I don't have loads of time but I should easily manage one a week and hopefully this kick start me to finish mine.

So any offers....

Hey Alffy,

I have a revised version of my feature "Grand Avenue" in the comedy section and I'd love your opinion of it.

I too am going to spend most of the weekend returning the favor with reads, so if you (or anyone) has something that's "under-read", let me know and I'll try to work it in.

Thanks for the offer!

AJR

I just submitted a rewrite for my new horror script, "Complete." You can check that out if you'd like. I'll let you know when it's up.

Glad to hear more people are trying to write features. Good luck to you!

Nice of you Alffy!

I'm trying to stay away from shorts myself and only do features.

Hey Anthony, how can I say no to someone who shares my name lol.  I'll check it over the next few days.

James, I actually intended to read your script at some point anyway, guess I'll wait for the new draft.  Just let me know when it's up and I'll check it out.

Pia, I'll wish you all the best with your goal.  My problem is motivation to write down my ideas.  I have about 4 decent ideas for features at the moment, two on the go, one treatment and one in my head lol.  Strangely, I kind of find it easier to write it as a short then extnded it, dunno why, maybe because it gives you a beginning and an end to start with.

Alffy (Anthony?),

Thanks, I appreciate it. Is your feature (Pub Lunch?) still up? If so let me know if I can return the favor, though it may be a while because I owe some other people.

Yeah it's 'Pub Lunch', in the horror section but it's a comedy/horror.  I've read yours and left some thoughts, probably not to helpful but there wasn't much I felt wrong with it.  Take your time and read mine when you get a chance, no rush mate.

Alffy,

Thanks, I will take a look at it as soon as I can.

I also wanted to thank everyone in general who's taken the time to read not just mine but others' features.  We know it takes a good two hours of your time - and some of you don't even have a feature up to get a return read on!

So what tends to happen, to all of us, is that we grab 20 minutes here, 10 minutes there, and we know we have time to read a short, so that's what gets read.  Not a bad thing considering most of the regulars have good shorts up here, but every now and again there's a newcomer who posts a short and disappears, and they get several reads without returning the favor.

So again, thanks very much to all who take the time.
