This may seem like a dumb question but I was curious if any of the other board members have had any dealings with talenthouse.com or fewdio.com. I recently wrote a five page short which is posted on SS as well, "If Dreams Could KIll", for a contest on their website. There was no entry fee. I just received an e-mail that my script was a semi-finalist in the contest. I'm wondering whether everyone who enters gets selected for the semi-finals. It just seems suspicious to me. Maybe I'm being paranoid, Marvin.
Talenthouse is a website that do a lot of things including letting good people like Fewdio host a comp for scripts. The problem is, they , like so many other sites wants you and your friends to vote for your favorite script. Okay, fine....no, not really. These people will charge any votes that come in via cell phones $.99!!!!!!!!!
I think we can all see what the aim is here. Enter for free, but we'll make the money when your stupid friends vote for your script which they never read anyway!
Me, yeah that's the conclusion I came to as well. I knew I smelled a rat. The main thing was I didn't think my script was good enough to make the semi=finals to be quite honest. I never read yours. I would like to read it. If you could PM me or let me know where it is posted, I would enjoy reading it. I'm glad we got to the bottom of this. Marvin.

Mine is a trimmed down with a chainsaw version of Daddy's Home
What's the title of yours and about where in the pile at Talenthouse is it?
Me, I don't where it is in the pile at Talenthouse but it is posted here in it's latest version in the WIP section. "If Dreams Could Kill" is the title. Thanks, Marvin.
I have. Some go over the 5 pages, some are written in prose with horribly wrong formatting, wrong font and wrong size. Some are just plain bad and they still have votes.
I think their computer automatically adds a couple of votes to every script if no one has voted for them.
Me, I haven't read any of the other entries, but I'm not surprised. That whole thing was B.S. I put up a nasty notice on scripped.com, the site I found out about the contest on. I enjoyed "Daddy's Home" by the way. Very well written and scary. Thanks for the info. Marvin.
