Was reading the In Bruges script last night, and what a delight it was. It did raise an interesting way of doing slugs that I'd not encountered or considered before, and actually consider to be superior, so I'm stealing it. Curious what you chaps thought. So, instead of this (or variant thereof): INT. ANDREW'S HOUSE/KITCHEN - DAY ANDREW sits writing a message. INT. ANDREW'S HOUSE/BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS DREAMSCALE writes a message, shouts out to Andrew. LAUGHS to himself. It would go like this: INT. ANDREW'S HOUSE - DAYKITCHEN . ANDREW sits writing a message.BATHROOM . DREAMSCALE writes a message, shouts out to Andrew. LAUGHS to himself. I think it's a leaner, more effective way of doing it. Thoughts?

Andrew, I'm, sure you know my thoughts already...but if you're wondering... I hate it and disagree that it's cleaner or anything. Old school, baby...old school!!!

I thought that proper formatting usually averages out to one minute of film per page. This type of formatting would clearly break that rule. It would be crowded. I don't like it either... James

I think the bigger question here is what the hell is Jeff doing in your bathroom?

Well, he has to get a root some where...
I did some of this formatting in the Celtic OWC and got a mixed reception.

We were, I thought...it doesn't seem like a secret any longer, though. Just don't tell anyone how often I gaze at that picture of Stevie wearing those short jean shorts...

It's definitely wrong that I'm instantly able to picture those shorts! If I recall, they were gracing the British Isles. But, btw, stevie, kudos on using the slug style. I'm definitely adapting but not for the OWC, if I enter!

The shorts in the photo are actually gracing NewYork but they did travel all over the UK as well! In the five and half months overseas, I wore just two pairs of shorts and thats it. Washed them obviously! The cleaning highlight was in Turkey, getting them steamed clean!! They even dried and folded my undies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Re the formatting...yeah, I used it in Bloodstrom. I wanted to show quick cuts between scenes in a particular part, for more sort of atmosphere. I knew there'd be some 'contro' over it but I just went with it. Interesting response - some people loathed it and said it was hard to follow; Some liked it and could see what I was trying to do; Some didn't even mention it!!! I think its fine to do,in certain situations. I really had to sit down and work it out before I wrote it too, so it wasn't just a throw - away sort of thing. Cheers and good luck tonight with Jeff....

Steverino, the way you did it in Bloodstorm was different, as you used it in between completely unconnected scenes and settings. In Andrew's example, at least it's all inside the same structure, or setting. That's the big difference. Those shorts are awesome!!! We need another picture of them, I think...

Ok, here's me and my mate at Marilyn's crypt in L.A. Actually, she would have been 85 tomorrow - June 1st...
And this is me at the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland. Man, gotta love those shorts - they were my favorites!!
Wow, you can see how much they faded over time. The top pic was taken in March, the second in June.

Stevie...you fucking rock, bro! You just made my day and hopefully, whoever reads this doesn't take that the wrong way.
Do you still have them? Would they still fit over your rotund gut? HaHa...
Awesome!!!!
