has anyone here used the outline feature in Final Draft 8?  I'm wondering why it doesn't work the same way a screenplay would.  Why doesn't it just continue with the format?

this is the document that opens if you open a new outline - http://i54.tinypic.com/179w0o.jpg - everything is formatted nicely, and professionally.  Now say I decided I wanted to expand on that, and start from 5.  the format doesnt automatically keep going.  If i try to put in a new letter, it comes out capitalized, and the tab isn't the same.

Are there settings?  I can't seem to find any help for this.  I've done 5 page outlines on this, and it's a massive pain in the ass.  I just copy #1, and delete all the text, and number it accordingly to keep some semblance of structure.  if you know the answer, please help me out.  thanks

I'd list my "work" here, but I don't know how to hyperlink.

"Career" Highlights
-2, count em, 2 credits on my IMDB page.
-One time a fairly prominent producer e-mailed me back.
-I have made more than $1000 with my writing!
-I've won 2 mugs... and a thong.  (polaroids of me in thong available for $10 through PM)

How did you get your Final Draft outline to look that nice?  Mine never look like that.

thats the sample one that opens when i click on outline.

im spoiled by the screenplay formatting, i dont understand how a simple press of the enter key doesn't automatically give me a new number or letter.  there has to be a way to fix that.
