I received an e-mail today from a Mr. Larry Herskowitz who is supposedly a digital film instructor at the Washington D.C. campus of Boston University Center for Digital Imaging and Arts. He said he would like to use a few scenes from my short, Blood In The Rain for a project to help his students deal with actors and dialog. I'm wondering if any of you have ever heard of him.
He was adamant that he was only going to use it for educational purposes and wouldn't do it unless he had my express permission. If it truly is for educational purposes, then I'm all for it.

I went to the university's website and checked out the digital film information and viewed some of the student work. I then checked the faculty list and Mr. Herskowitz is indeed an instructor there. Don't know why I didn't think of doing that before. Guess I had a momentary case of mental diarrhea!!

If he agrees, in writing, that the finished work will be used foe educational purposes only, there shouldn't be a problem.

Hey Jerry -

Rest easy.  Hershkowitz's students filmed a bit of my short, Casualty of War.  Did a WONDERFUL job.     Wish he'd have them do the rest of it!
