There's many reasons why I'm terribly fond of this film. At the top of the list would be that our family dog was in the movie. There's a big dopey Airedale puppy that's a neighbor's dog. He barks at the sentient computer and pees on the floor. That was our beloved boy, Kramer! E.D. |
The King of Terriers are one of my fave breeds, up there with Labs and St. Bernards. I'm sure I have Electric Dreams in my old VHS archive, will have to dig it out! My username is from the Horror trilogy directed by New York filmaker Frank Hennellotter. |

Part of a line from one of my favorite scenes.

| Commodus: But the Emperor Claudius knew that they were up to something. He knew they were busy little bees. And one night he sat down with one of them and he looked at her and he said, "Tell me what you have been doing, busy little bee..." |

dogglebe was the user name that was assigned to me when I joined Prodigy, back in the mid 1980's. I just kept using it.

Prodigy? Geez, that's a blast from the past (actually didn't know the origin of that one!)
For me... Well, anyone who has read Willy Wonka and the Glass Elevator knows wonkavite... The illustrations in the Roald Dahl book are a fav of mine, too.... |

My username comes from my school days.
Being at junior school in the 80's and also being short I was tagged with the TV show character ALF. Later this became Alffy and stuck. Weirdly most peole that know me think my real name is Alfie, this includes the majority of my work colleagues and people I've known for years. |

My very first D&D character was a dwarf called Ener. He was tough as nails and brave to the point of stupidity, but awkward as a deer on ice in town unless he had a tankard of mead in front of him. His favourite pasttime was slaying goblins; the highlight of his adventuring years was when a goblin horde migrated out of the mountains and threatened a bunch of halfling villages. That and rescuing his elven buddy out of a pit trap, he never let the elf live that one down.
The "C" in my name comes from a long line of French militants who spread through Europe and across the ocean to North America. They're everywhere now, never in great numbers but ever-present. The surnames vary somewhat, evolved over time and influenced by different cultures. My "C" hails from the Claveau line who spread first to Switzerland before coming back west and settling in Canada.
I suppose one could argue that the dwarf's name is simply my name spelled backwards, I trick I did not need to learn from George but came up with all on my own. Or that Claveau is my last name, but my immediate family is not nearly as interesting as those other Claveaus from yesteryear. |

Um....yeah...and bert is short for Robert My D&D character was a magic-user who over the course of his adventures had been turned into a vampire. Chaotic evil. He would have kicked your a ss. |
