When I joined another site years ago, my name was taken and it suggested Alex_212 and I accepted it, I have since started a few accounts and usernames with it.
It really has no significance so the more I think about it the more I want to change it.

Also one of the definitions of pale is: an area or the limits within which one is privileged or protected. I'm a natural empath by nature and have always been a 'helper' or 'protector'

Also I always carry a yellow stone in my pocket. There are numerous yellow gemstones on my computer, by my bed. It creates a sense of creativity and the ability to express myself(which sometimes well a lotta times I should just bottle my damn feelings up)...anyway if you want to spark creativity in your writing, get you a yellow stone like amber(my most favorite of stones), citrine, quartz, or topaz.

My displayed name is just my name. My actual SS username (visible on the status bar if you hover over someone's displayed name) is Tubkas, which I've used on lots of sites, though I always change the display to George Willson. I came up with Tubkas in high school when I was trying to conceive of a character that would be the "me" in some stories I was writing. At the time, I played trombone in band, and I was at the top of my class not only at my school but in the district. An ancient version of the trombone is called a sackbut. Seriously. It's an egyptian thing. I flipped that around backwards (because turning words backwards to give them interesting meanings is what I do) and I got Tubkcas. Since that looked silly spelled that way, I dropped the 'c' to get Tubkas. I further moved the dropped 'c' to the character's first name which also played into my town's name. Therefore, my main character in Bluffs, CO became Cliff Tubkas. It's such a unique name, I was pretty well guaranteed that I'd get it every time I signed up for anything. There you go.
Mine is very complex - my first name. 99% won't know how to pronounce it. Anglicised spelling, Owen.

Randall Cage was a character in a story that I scrapped when I was in my teens. I liked the name for some reason and used it as a pen name whenever I would write a romantic piece and submit it somewhere. (This was back when I only wrote gross stuff.)
Eventually, it turned into an alias for me during my first arrest. I happened to have lost my I.D. earlier that day, and when the cops asked me my name, (this was back before they ever had a record of Mark Lyons or my prints), I gave them Randall Cage as my name, told them that I was homeless from Texas, then I gave them my social security number backwards. Nothing ever came up in their system and they decided not to charge me and just dropped me off at the rescue mission, (where I would eventually volunteer at and still do for the past several years.)
RC always pops up somewhere usually whenever I look around. Especially when I was in my late teens.
-RC Pro-Am was my favorite Nintendo game growing up. -Royal Crown is my favorite soda. (It's also an old gas station. I found one of their shirts at a thrift shop and wear it religiously.) - Rainclowns was a band I was in for a couple years. (The name's now being revived with the new band I'm working with.) - And, of course, most importantly, Rick Carlisle is coach of the Dallas Mavericks!

I thought to myself, how F%ucking ironic!
A teenager smart enough to come up with sales pitches to make his product (penny stocks) profitable and the FEDS step in and take his money.
I was in the market at the time and was (along with a lot of people) very impressed by how he did it.
Now days, if you turn on the T.V., there is a show called MAD MONEY where that guy (Kramer) I think, does the exact same thing. Pumps his own stocks then short sells them and makes a fortune.

The movie, "Electric Dreams" was written and produced by a family friend...

There's many reasons why I'm terribly fond of this film. At the top of the list would be that our family dog was in the movie. There's a big dopey Airedale puppy that's a neighbor's dog. He barks at the sentient computer and pees on the floor. That was our beloved boy, Kramer!

I've always been big into music and especially music with an edge, like metal.
We're going back to the big 80's here, before computers were a household staple, and the internet was just a wet dream.
My sister was a bit of a wild child back in the day, and had the opportunity to spend 1 semester of college in Luxumbourg. She went to see a Slaughter concert there with friends, and met some crazy Deutschlander, who happened to be in a metal band. Knowing how much I loved all things metal, she get a promotional CD from this guy's band, named "Dreamscale".
She gave me the CD for Christmas that year, and I fell in love with it, because it was exactly the kind of music I loved and it was far off the beaten path, where I like to roam.
One of the songs was also called Dreamscale, and the song was about one's "dreamscale", which relates to how high or low something is on one's dream scale. I thought it was cool shit and still listen to this CD today, thinking back to those golden years.
I started using it as my login name for just about everything I do online.
So, there you have it - the dreamscale. Guess what ranks pretty consistently high on my dreamscale?

My very first D&D character was a dwarf called Ener. He was tough as nails and brave to the point of stupidity, but awkward as a deer on ice in town unless he had a tankard of mead in front of him. His favourite pasttime was slaying goblins; the highlight of his adventuring years was when a goblin horde migrated out of the mountains and threatened a bunch of halfling villages. That and rescuing his elven buddy out of a pit trap, he never let the elf live that one down.
The "C" in my name comes from a long line of French militants who spread through Europe and across the ocean to North America. They're everywhere now, never in great numbers but ever-present. The surnames vary somewhat, evolved over time and influenced by different cultures. My "C" hails from the Claveau line who spread first to Switzerland before coming back west and settling in Canada.
I suppose one could argue that the dwarf's name is simply my name spelled backwards, I trick I did not need to learn from George but came up with all on my own. Or that Claveau is my last name, but my immediate family is not nearly as interesting as those other Claveaus from yesteryear.

My D&D character was a magic-user who over the course of his adventures had been turned into a vampire. Chaotic evil. He would have kicked your ass.
Mine was a paladin whom, after I became a DM, turned into an anti-Paladin who ruled a realm in Ravenloft. I had the rest of the party 'rescue' him and bring him home. He was a psychological wreck, but that's a story for another day.
D&D is the original tabletop role-playing game, the one that made it cool to be a geek. Until it was no longer cool to be a geek and playing it got your knickers yanked up over your head in gym class. Then Wizards of the Coast bought TSR and revitilized the franchise, making it cool to be a geek again. Until it was no longer cool to be a geek and it got your wife forbidding you to teach your children to play. Then The Big Bang Theory made it cool to be a geek again, and, well, it's back bitches!
But don't play version 4.0, it's just a tabletop video game. The ultimate experiece is version 3.5, stick with that and find a good DM and you'll die happy.
Haven't play D&D since 1984, but I prefered Traveller.

Mazes and Monsters is loosely based on the true story Dallas Egbert, a college student who committed suicide after someone placed a curse on his D&D character. His mother did national speaking tours for years on the dangers of the game. She (and the movie) forgot to mention that Dallas was a full time college student at sixteen, he experimented with drugs, he had little friends and he was confused over his sexuality.

Ugh... I should have had HAMANA (no K and one N) for my user name. For the life of me I can't understand what made me write k in front of that H in the first place. the name in Russian spelled Хаманна. Now I don't know why my parents were generous with those N's. It's a made up name by the way. I should use all kinds of spellings. Hamana, Hamanna, Khamanna, Khamana - easier to evade enemy when it comes looking...

Oney is a family name. It's pronouced O-knee, or Tony without the T. In school I used to get O-nay, O-lay a lot. LOL. Whatever. I'm the 3rd and am expected to pass the unfortunate name down but yeah, not happening.
Mendoza is my last name but one of my final wishes of my dying grandpa's is for either my brother or myself to change our last name to his, which is.... Maslarevic. Once he dies, the family name dies. I don't know about that, Oney Maslarevic.

When I started work many moons ago, my boss started to call me Kip. I asked him why and it turns out that his niece or nephew (not sure which) couldn't pronounce the name Christopher properly. They always used to say "kipper". And as my name is Christopher, Kip became my nickname, and has been for the last 20 years.
