Hi, does anyone UK based have a script agent?  Or could anyone advise on how to go about searching for one, what to do/not do, any specific agent recommendations?  

This follows on from the Football Hooligans film thread.  My experience is much more involved with the books world, and the one or two agents I spoke with were genuine and to the point, there was nothing 'personal' about it, they were satruggling to help me as my books are rather 'niche' and they couldnt see their being any help for me.  

My scripts or ongoing projects aren't anywhere near as niche, but I fear it's a laborious process looking for suitable agents, so any good advice will be gratefully received, and completely in confidence too if you desire.

I haven't tried getting an agent yet but was thinking about it a few weeks ago - I found a directory then narrowed it down to agencies that accept submissions from new screenplay writers in the uk.
