This may seem like a stupid question, but I write with Celtx (I'm a student, don't want to buy the adobe software yet). Is there an option to turn off the CONTINUED: from showing up on every page?

I searched around a bit, but couldn't find a way.

A bad writer, trying to become decent...

Thank you for all who put up with my work and try and help me improve.

Practice will hopefully pay off for my writing.

Yes.

(Replaced that mondo-sized pic w/ a smaller one. IDK why these forum posts enlarge the pics. )

Thanks Ray! I should have expected you to answer with an elaborate picture or diagram   thank you again, you couldn't have made it any easier.

The problem was that I didn't go into Typeset/pdf while looking for the turn off.

Also, when you get a chance, check out TRELBY software.

It's 10 times better than Celtx.

Downloading now. I'm going to give this a try after my next script. Celtx places random words throughout my script sometimes, even whole sentences. On my latest script the word As is placed randomly here and there. Freakin weird.

Mac users can't use Trelby though unfortunately... but Linux can, which is rare to have linux and not Mac, but a pleasure to see.

You'll like it Dustin.

The reports features as well as the import feature alone makes it a better, cleaner program.

Someone here turned me on to it and I never looked back.

I like the idea of an import feature. I haven't looked at it properly yet. I'm assuming that means importing .pdf's?

Correct.

Sometimes, however, when importing a PDF, lines can occure in the wording.

Like--

When | we went | to the other | side...

All you have to do is do a search and replace and replace it with nothing to remove them.

I could have done with this not too long ago. I had to rewrite one of my shorts. It needed another draft, but I'd messed up the original editable file. Only ten pages, but it's a full days work down the pan, when it should have just been a quick hour to edit it.

Does Trelby allow you to bold anything in your scripts, like sluglines and what not?

I remember there being a thread about that and I think a few people concluded you couldn't. Maybe somebody else could chime in here.

Trelby is IMO, the better program but... Its margins are noticeably wrong. It like to put 60 lines on one page rather than the 58 that final draft does. So a little editing needs to be done in the settings with the header and footer and you're good to go.
